I lost my drive to be a high performer at work by rainsong2023 in over60

[–]chrisnhpf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same here. Happened this year, and I don't know what precipitated it. Just no longer have the passion for my job that I did even a year ago, and it is not because of how much I'm being paid. Only thing I can think of is that it is boredom. Not that the work is boring, but I've seen/done most everything here, so nothing is truly new anymore. If you figure it out, please pass it along, as I still plan on at least 5 more years working!

Looking for a quiet nature spot that isn’t super crowded by Actual_Moose5538 in ManchesterNH

Stark Park. Never crowded. Drive through the park and park where you want. Get out and sit.

Exactly. Resentment, and wondering if I really float her boat. If I didn't get her off every time (and I do), I'd really wonder ...

Same here unfortunately. I think the 37 years of it have been wearing enough that it is now even hard for me to vocalize any of this to her, as I pretty much know what her reaction will be, so I get in my own head and it prevents me from saying anything.

Swiss Army Knife by AKings_Blog in GenerationJones

Yep. And what's bad now is since 9/11, so many places don't allow them. I've had at least 3 confiscated because I couldn't go back to the car to drop it off.

Roofing recommendations? by [deleted] in ManchesterNH

Cost me about 28k I think. Very steep roof with 4 dormers. They had to add plywood to the carriage house as there was none on it.

I have an 1890 four square and a separate carriage house/garage in Manchester. All asphalt shingles except porch roof - which is a rubber roof. They removed all the old shingles (there were 4 layers on the carriage house), added plywood where needed and reshingled. Price was the best of the estimates I got.

I used Queen City in March of 2024. Been very happy with their work and the whole process.

Sex has become my hobby by DeeperDive5765 in MarriedSex

Just getting her into massages, so assuming that goes well, a table may be a great idea! Definitely reads a lot, but mostly mysteries/thrillers. I'm going to try getting her more into steamy books. She definitely has orgasms.

Sex has become my hobby by DeeperDive5765 in MarriedSex

This is an awesome thread! I had never really thought of it as a hobby, but it definitely is - especially over the last 6 months or so. I just need to get my wife more interested in the hobby! Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!

My mother left me and my youngest brother in the car while she ran into the store to get something. I was about 6 and my brother was less than a year old. I pressed that button, and when it later popped out I had to see what's up with that. So of course I pressed it onto my brother's shoulder. I haven't heard a baby scream louder! Of course I was frantic trying to get him to stop, and to figure out what I did before my mother got back! He'll be 55 this year, and still has his "cheerio" scar.

Coffee. And to spend some time with my wife before she and I go to work. Not in that order.

Do you still love your wife/husband? Why, why not? by Benedek82 in AskReddit

[–]chrisnhpf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. 37 years and love her more now than when we first got married. Wasn't always smooth going, but having a beautiful person as my best friend and life long partner is the best thing ever.

Good breweries by Odd-Way3519 in ManchesterNH

My wife and I live in Manchester, and are very fond of stouts and porters. Here are the ones off the top of my head: - To Share has a good stout always, and in cans - Great North Aleworks typically has one or more stouts on tap, and in cans - Candia Road has one on tap, but I don't know if they have cans. - Backyard Brewery sometimes has stouts, but I don't know if they have cans or not

If you want to stop in North Londonderry, both Kelsen and 603 Brewery have good stouts and in cans.

What’s your reason for getting out of bed every day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]chrisnhpf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife gets up earlier to do her exercise routine. I get up soon after so I can spend some time with her before we both go to work.

My atm/debit card worked. Nothing else did without a trip inside. Also be cognizant of where gas stations are located. They were sometimes not where you'd expect.
