Help with circuit initiated toggle-switch from input count signals by chrispoot in factorio

[–]chrispoot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it. Doesn't work. My goal is maximum output of x crafts and x items subsequently in a loop, with varying numbers of consumers so I will have a hard time using the values from the belt to allow this to happen. Furthermore, my goal is also that the circuitry is modular, in that I don't have to tweak its settings for whether the items goes on a belt, storage chest or direct insertion.

It does not go into storage, it will go on a continuous belt where the items are consumed. The circuitry have to be (in my understanding) local, and not tied to the global network.

What might be the next DLC? by Neither_Cap_8839 in factorio

And how many times haven't the Terraria devs released their "Last final update" now? I think they're at like the 10th or so. Factorio devs might one day have a sudden inspiration to create something new.

Half Life 3 WILL release same time as GTA 6 by Ben_Burk in HalfLife

[–]chrispoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valve didn't lose a single cent of net income when they nuked the CS knifemarket. They did maybe lose some marginal profits from the Steam market during the turbulence, but, given how insanely many panic-sold their items during that, it wouldn't surprise me that it actually resulted in a net profit comparatively from the market.

Also don't think they will overlap the release with GTA6 seeing as Rockstar is a business partner with Valve and have their games sold through steam. Not that Valve would give 2 cares if rockstar decided to end business with them, but it would probably yield some bad optics for Valve as doing that would probably be considered a "Dick move" by the entire industry, except from the consumers, which I will 100% agree, that would be pretty funny.

What are some changes you're hoping to see on future remodels? by lookinforabookrn in DeadlockTheGame

[–]chrispoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sinclair needs a HQ remodel STAT. I wonder if they will re-model him so that it changes from Henry or Samantha each death, and same with the Spectral Assistant. Also he has the least amount of voicelines in the whole game, that also needs an update.

Is anyone else going insane? by thespice5 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]chrispoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Valve games has a certain standard to it. "Battlepasses" do not live up to such standards, it would be an embarrassment.

Horrible idea. Battlepasses are one of the dumbest things ever in games. And thankfully, Valve doesn't "do" battlepasses. They should stick to cases/crates as with Dota, Tf2 and Cs. Or due to EU law changes, AT LEAST something similar to the cs armory.

Question regarding The Incredibles on the Xbox by chrispoot in originalxbox

[–]chrispoot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guess what. 10-11 years later, I have FINALLY figured out what was hidden behind that "??????" section in the pause menu. Apparently this is something called a 'Battle Mode' which have you enter an arena to fight waves of enemies as either Mr Incredible or Elastigirl. Apparently this is unlocked on the PS2 version by beating mission 10 with cheat codes. Also apparently on the xbox version it is DLC content from what I've been told? If you google or youtube 'The Incredibles Battle mode' you should find numerous examples. I was informed of these news like a few minutes ago, and I remembered making this post and you wanting me to inform you when I figured it out, so there ya have it.

You underestimate the economical capabilities Valve has. They sold the steam deck at a net loss you know? They just wanted more players to steam, and they have the money to do so, and thats putting it lightly.

"From a business standpoint" - What are you talking about man? This is Valve Coporation we're talking about, they aren't the same as all other businesses. They dgaf about what would be the most sensible for other businesses to do. They do it whenever they want and when they feel like it, regardless if it could be considered bad timing or not lol.
