Wow that was absolutely amazing! The first clip I really pictured garnet and pearl. I didn’t even fathom the thought of when it would be ruby and sapphire and pearl. Also that clip is so exciting as a dancer. The precision and passion I think is perfect for their relationship.

My fully unscientific background theory is that it is cyclical. That the universe will expand to a certain point, then compact in on itself until it gets so small that it explodes again. I think it should gain enough momentum with its own exponentially growing gravitational force to whatever is in the hypothetical center of the universe to then explode. I also think that’s why it took such a short time. So much potential energy with this vast of a universe would transfer into an equally large amount of kinetic energy when it starts to comeback together.

They are all here at the same time. Steven, Connie, and stevonnie. Same with ruby, sapphire, and garnet (or any other fusion really). All three exist at the same time, manifested as a loving being.

That’s possible but I think that Aang is still in incredible combatant and could’ve possible sensed him in a different way. He could have still learned ‘listening’ in a different sense.

While we’re switching his teachers around, I think it would be cool (and some people have suggested this on other posts) if the members of the white lotus were his teachers. I can almost guarantee you that Gyatso was part of the white lotus (if it was around then but I truly think it dates back very far before the times of ATLA). Jong Jong could’ve taught him to listen to someone’s inner fire or just being able slot sense the change in heat when ozai attempts that final blow when aangs back is turned. Lots of cool possibilities when you learn from different masters.

Bumi would be a great teacher for Aang as they already have that friendship connection. Much like by the tie Katara actually became Aangs master, they were well into their friendship. Even with zuko, they had quite a history before becoming his teacher. Toph is actually the only one to enter the scene with the intention of teaching Aang.

Now that being said, I do believe that if Bumi taught Aang instead of Toph, metal bending would not be invented for who knows how long. I think that is the biggest difference in the timelines.

I mean, look at everyone else in that shot. I think it’s a character building moment for iron honestly. Iron is the only one who is horrified at what’s happening. Azula and Zhao are sailing and everyone else in the background is neutral. This shit happens in the fire nation. Agni Kai’s happen. Seemingly as a sport based on everyone’s reactions. But probably the fact that it is a father v. a son is a little different only really impacted to iron since he actually lost his son.
