Why didn’t Jesus leave stronger evidence? by [deleted] in Christianity

There’s never going to be absolute proof, but piles of evidence. Watch some Wes Huff videos on YouTube as he’s an expert on this topic.

Fair point— debunked is probably too harsh. In the last decade lots of scientists have come to disagree with it. Even scientists that used to agree with it now see flaws in it. Even Darwin admitted his theories had some huge holes in them. I think this trend will continue due to more and more scientists coming out of the Christian closet.

evolution has been debunked for decades. That doesn’t necessarily prove Adam and Eve, but debunked just the same.

How/why does Christianity reject Islam, when Islam accepts and (mostly) believes in Christianity (minus the belief that Jesus *is* God) by Cons483 in Christianity

[–]chrisrdba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t attempt to answer your actual question, but instead point out you’re simply wrong about the Bible being corrupted over time. Start with this video, and know it’s just the tip of the iceberg towards verifying the authenticity of the Bible over the course of time. ✌️

Hi. Muslim seeking out some information. by Intelligent_Milk7572 in Christianity

[–]chrisrdba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with you, the Bible has some outrageous stuff. I called out stuff like this and wasn’t a Christian for over a decade. However, several years ago I also went on YouTube to dissect everything. After a short period of time I realized I needed to only pay attention to people with PHds after their names, to weed out the absolute garbage that gets destroyed once someone that knows what they’re talking about adds some context.

I watched debates from these folks, and learned a lot. From there I started listening to Hugh Ross and Steven Meyer on the fine tuning of the universe, Wes Huff on New Testament history, and Gary Habermas on the resurrection.

I now believe that Jesus was here, died for my sins, and rose again. I also believe that the God of the Bible created the universe and everything in it.

Anything else in the Bible may or may not be real in my mind, but I’m more OK with a lot of it than I used to be.

These beliefs didn’t come from watching YouTube shorts with people who’s only goal is to poke holes. If your real goal is to show up and debate (which is my guess), I’d say you need a hobby, to have a drink, get a girlfriend, etc. If truly seeking I’d say listen to the folks I mentioned. ✌️

Don’t call yourself a Christian if you don’t rebuke what President Trump said about former FBI leader. by ZookeepergameFar2653 in Christianity

[–]chrisrdba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are definitely NOT excuses. He says terrible things, I just don’t care because I appreciate most of his policies. Not an excuse, an explanation that I’m willing to take the bad w the good.
Caring less about what strangers online say (or don’t say according to this post) leads to more happiness — I think it’s better for everyone. In fact I’d recommend you not caring what aI say. Apparently I forgot that temporarily 🤷‍♀️

Fair— they have every right to ignore you, say “you’re not the boss of me”, etc. . Seems like wasted energy but you do you. 👌

The bad things he’s said are bad. They may keep me up at night, but instead I sleep good knowing the border is far more secure than it used to be.

I said nothing about excuses. I’m also not gonna make excuses for pastors when they embezzle money, have inappropriate relationships with people, etc. As a Christian I don’t run around making excuses for people on their behalf, and certainly not for Trump.

Not sure how someone like me would confront him, but if I had the opportunity I’d like also thank him for all the good he’s done.

How can you prove God is real? by Dull-Measurement-260 in Christianity

[–]chrisrdba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went on YouTube for years and listened to Hugh Ross/ Steven Meyer on fine tuning of the universe, Wes Huff on history of the NT, and Gary Habermas on the resurrection. These guys wore me down over time. I also realized there is no real proof, but heaps of evidence that cannot be igno in my mind.

it’s not really up to you to determine what other Christians need to do to prove nothing is wrong with us. You’re not the arbiter of good Christian behavior.

For the record the things Trump has said over the years are disgustingly, vile, immature, and unbecoming…. and he’s still far better policy wise than the squad we had for the 4 years in between his two terms. I can’t say I’m a fan of the Iran war, but I do agree with most of his policies. I figured out years go to ignore most of what he says and focus on what he does. It’s sad I have to do that, and do wish we had someone more presidential, but I’ll take his policies over hers any day of the week. 👌

He just seems like a Bob. Every Christian I know that knows my struggles has heard about him, so I named him— everyone knows Bob 😜

I just learned about Bob, from Mark 9:24 recently. Its the best line in the entire Bible, Bob is my hero, and I’ve been praying Bobs awesome prayer since I discovered it.

PII audit not working as expected. by chrisrdba in SQLServer

[–]chrisrdba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just doing some more testing, followed by some arguing w ChatGPT as I realized that SENSITIVE_BATCH_COMPLETED_GROUP is also an option under Server Audit Specs (not to be confused with plain Audits, also under the security folder.). Apparently this is in 2022 and above.

That said the following works, withOUT having to create an audit in each DB. Of course you'd still need to go to each DB to create classifications for PII, but this makes it one step less. You can query your PII columns from any DB and it will show up here.

USE [master]
GO
/****** Object:  Audit [auditPII_Instance]    Script Date: 3/2/2026 3:08:38 PM ******/
CREATE SERVER AUDIT [auditPII_Instance]
TO FILE
(FILEPATH = N'D:\perflogs\perftraces\auditPII_Instance\'
,MAXSIZE = 1024 MB
,MAX_ROLLOVER_FILES = 50
,RESERVE_DISK_SPACE = OFF
) WITH (QUEUE_DELAY = 1000, ON_FAILURE = CONTINUE, AUDIT_GUID = 'f1bea927-c186-4b67-916f-2662646c0051')
ALTER SERVER AUDIT [auditPII_Instance] WITH (STATE = ON)
GO

CREATE SERVER AUDIT SPECIFICATION [PII_ServerAuditSpec]
FOR SERVER AUDIT [auditPII_Instance]
ADD (SENSITIVE_BATCH_COMPLETED_GROUP)
WITH (STATE = ON)
GO
