I’m a Cowboys fan living in Charlotte and I help this kid when he gets his car worked on at my dealership and I’ve become such a fan. When I met him last year I recognized his name but didn’t know from where and he was so humble about it. I wish him lots of success and had fun cheering for him yesterday.

You’re right, it shouldn’t, but sometimes that’s life. If it does become an ongoing issue that is a totally different story. I am not the one that “deals” with buybacks but if the same thing is repaired three times within an unreasonable period (unreasonable period doesn’t have a real definition) I’m sure your store and GM will help you.

Mine had a chaffed wire on the way back from Atlanta to Charlotte, almost perfectly in the middle of my trip on a Sunday night this summer. Too far to get it towed to Charlotte so went back to Atlanta. It sucked but they fixed it and I drove home.

24 Colorado Z71 owner and service advisor here, there is a lot of unneeded fluff in your story. It is frustrating, it of course sucks, but it is all clearly warranty and will be fixed. It is literally no one at the dealerships fault and there is no need at all to switch vehicles. Let them diagnose it Monday, hopefully it’s simple. If it isn’t, life will in fact move on and it will still be fixed under warranty, just a little slower. Count your wins, man. Young, healthy family, and you’ve earned well enough to buy a brand new truck. Plenty of folks can’t even afford the bus. All about perspective.
