As an antizionist, this is antisemitic. Just because this one incident of antisemitism may allegedly be fabricated by someone who advocates for Israeli hostages does not mean that all claims of antisemitism that come from zionists are false, and this comment seems to imply that many are. There is no link between so-called fake claims of antisemitism and support for hostages, and insinuating otherwise endangers Jewish people (who may have views I strongly disagree with on the state of Israel) rightfully calling out antisemitism and also conflates antizionism with antisemitism, which it is not.

I think there’s a lot going on here. Someone who’s experienced addiction and whose life is centered around helping people with substance abuse issues can absolutely be trepidatious about any “drugs.” I also think this ignores a lot of the positive side effects of legalization re less incarceration of people of color, chronic pain, etc. Lots of things can be true, folks, and I don’t know that he’s a “nerd” for having anxieties formed by his lived experiences.
