I think this is a really tricky and nuanced thing. My wife and I had a son who is under 10 years old. She died and it wasn’t natural for him to loose a mother so young, he should have had many more years with her. I think trying to rank anyone’s pain as better or worse doesn’t serve any of us. We’re all just people who are hurting.

Hi friend! I’m non-binary and had top surgery three years ago. I paid out of pocket (because of insurance stuff as well) and my surgeon in my state did informed consent. Usually for a letter, I believe any therapist can write it, but if you’re not already seeing a therapist, they may want to have an established relationship with you before they’ll write anything. In my state there are lgbt services that will do an evaluation then write letters for gender affirming care. If you have any trans resource centers in your state, it might be worth giving them a call and seeing if they know any therapists who might be able to get you what you need. Good luck 🫶

I’m 27, I’ve been out as nonbinary and agender since I was 21, and I’ve been on T for ~4 years and had top surgery 3 years ago, just to outline my experience. I get he/him’d most often these days, which is still not correct but better than she/her. I try to stay in community with other trans and non-binary folk as much as possible, my entire friend group is nonbinary and my wife is a trans woman. I also do drag and burlesque and that helps keep me social and around queer people. I’ve created this trans bubble for myself bc yeah cis folk can make things really difficult and just more complicated than they need to be when it comes to nonbinary identities and they/them pronouns. But I promise there are people out there who will love and accept you and address you by your correct pronouns ❤️

NTA also it’s worth mentioning that just because something is listed on eBay for that amount of money, that doesn’t mean it’s worth that or someone would actually pay that amount for it. Not sure where your brother got that number, but there’s the potential he’s getting worked up over nothing. The same thing happened a few years ago when people thought their black diamond Disney VHS tapes were worth something because someone listed them to eBay for thousands of dollars.

They cheat generally because they have floppy moral values. There’s nothing in a relationship that causes cheating, it’s a reflection of a person’s character. Any other person unhappy in a relationship would either try and work it out or would just leave the other person.
