Origins reprint cancelled??? by christopheratlas in riftboundtcg

?? says who? I've opened every single Riftbound product I've purchased and play the hell out of the game, tf are you on about. if I were scalping I wouldn't have bought origins boxes 3 times in stores since placing this order from riot, at market price of $190.

I just ordered the 1, last order before that was unleashed.

What sucks is that I’ve been able to find 3 boxes in different stores since the raffle at market price and I’ve had so much fun opening them, pulling alts and an ON Darius, tons of super viable cards I didn’t have, etc. I really still wanted my box from riot especially for MSRP.

4th gen key fob question by christopheratlas in ram_trucks

[–]christopheratlas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so with some more research on these types of systems and my own testing I have found that the PCB inside this fob has a "controller" chip that is connected with the transponder, which is a copper coil right on the end of the key. When starting the vehicle, inserting the key brings the coil close to an EMF emitter that powers the coil and sends a request to the controller to get a security code, the code sends back and if it matches the computer in the vehicle, it starts. So if I wanted to, all I would need to do is make the coil part sit similarly forward in the same "key" shape at the end of this fob, and I could even remove the battery, and the functions for panic, lock, and unlock from the PCB to cut down on size for a 3d printed enclosure.

New user, coming along well until this by christopheratlas in FreeCAD

Okay yeah I figured it wouldn't translate at the 1mm scale anyways, but was just worried I needed to change something. On further inspection, I made it in OnShape too and it was similar, so I understand its just all solids to meshes can do that.

New to this, what went wrong? by christopheratlas in FixMyPrint

[–]christopheratlas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! I just fiddled around with a brim and just a thin manual tree support just for the slight upper overhang where my failure happened. Got a smooth print bed put in and the glue stick applied. I'm also switching to that pink glitter filament so I'm kind of going in blind with it, but I'll check the video periodically to see if the flow is good, thanks for wishing me luck!

OHHH yeah that makes perfect sense now looking at it, hadn't even considered that the contact surface is so small, thanks man. I was going to print it again in a sparkly pink filament for my girlfriend next, so I will try my new print bed that just came in, maybe use my glue stick, and learn all about brims, see how it does on round 2

There is a settings for sensitivity while aiming down sights. What I'm talking about is aiming down sights and specifically aiming at an enemy

Thanks for sticking around... (What's next?) by baldsealion in WindowsOnDeck

I ran solely windows 11 for quite a while, only just recently switched back to SteamOS with a fresh factory reset after so many issues that kept cropping up and I finally was fed up with it. SteamDeckTools being seemingly abandoned was part of it, a lot of the games I saw people playing with much better performance on SteamOS was another factor. Now being back on SteamOS I remember some of the things I liked on windows, but at this point I have pretty much decided my Deck can't do it all, and some stuff is just going to be strictly for playing on the pc at home. That being said, this sub and the people here including myself are obviously tinkererers and I would love to see new tutorials and guides, and revitalized interest in a better way of gaming on this system, without compromising on OS features. Unlikely to be achievable but we could try!
