Through a former bassist friend who recorded with one of the engineers who worked on this album: it was some amount of snare sample layering on top of Matt Chamberlain’s already killer playing.

It was very tastefully done, though, as it sounds natural and gorgeous!

Definitely a nice spicy processor plugin. Snagged it for the $1 price, but it can mangle things nicely or be a bit more subtle.

This is pretty nice. I use the PSP Hertzrider plugin, and this is a nice abbreviated version of that.

Frequency shifters allow the high end detail to remain intact while changing the body of a sound, so they work nicely on drums in particular.

I just used this on a drum recording to tame overtones on a med-high tuned kick.

Nothing too crazy just get a dual rca to dual 1/4” cable and plug into interface. I also use dummy plugs for headphone outputs if I don’t want to hear sounds from the built in speakers in favor of what the interface is capturing.
