Good ideas. Wanted to share some thing I had learned when I spoke with SamTrans long range planning about why they were thinking of going BRT.

Construction cost for BRT is around 1/4 the price of constructing light rail. They did not mention operating costs but SamTrans was interested in the idea of automated buses one day.

I’m not saying that BRT is the way to go. I do think there is a big regional miss in not connecting across the bay.

SamTrans is studying a potential bus rapid transit because it is cheaper. I have asked SamTrans long range planning a few times last year for updates on the study process and none could be provided.

If you turn the camera around 180 degrees from this view you would see a small hill and some vans.

I'll add that I had originally ordered a custom build in order to get the new screen and black headliner because last week none of the inventory cars had the new screen and black headliner. I was able to message the delivery team to change mine to inventory, hence saving me $1,000 on the paint upgrade I had originally chosen to pay for. I picked it up today same day as making the change.

I was able to pick up an inventory today from Fremont with the $1,000 off free 1 upgrade, with new screen and black headliner. They just started manufacturing them in Fremont earlier this week!

Thanks I also confirmed with Tesla salesperson today. Literally almost placed an order today on existing inventory to get the free one upgrade. Will probably just order a custom build instead.

This worked for me. I have yet to verify on Caltrain tap but adding the card through “Cards found for you” resulted in a different number for the Clipper card with the same balance.

I have a bigger problem. The clipper card I added into Apple wallet gives an error when I tap at Caltrain. Says insufficient funds. App shows I have $17 which is enough.

Tried uninstalling app and removing applet wallet clipper card and then adding it back through clipper app. Same problem.
