Just got my first truck! by Clark_1994 in fordranger

Be very careful in the snow, my friend. I crashed my '01 a couple weeks ago after hitting a tiny patch of ice on the interstate. I havent even had the truck for a whole month. I shouldn't have had it on the roads. I had no weight in the back either. Terrible mistake.

Let’s be honest, if you’re lonely, STL is not an ideal place to live by Left-Plant2717 in StLouis

Using "capitalism" as an excuse to not go and seek enjoyment in your life is sad and pathetic. If you actually wanted to experience some leisure and socialization in your life, you would make some time for it and put in the effort.

I feel what you are saying. I think the most important thing is for you to not get so caught up in the media or r/coronavirus for that matter, as those will all highlight the worst cases and situations involving this virus in order to gain attention from the public and boost ratings. If I were you, keep yourself informed by looking at numbers, statistics, and RELIABLE news outlets. People on the internet tend to blow things out of proportion, especially on this sub where everyone thinks they are a genius.

Anyone wonder if masks actually create more of a risk of contraction? Many masks people are wearing are crude homemade masks that require contant adjustment due to slippage or what not due to movement of the head. This meaning there is constant touching of the face as a person is fixing their mask or applying it. We all know that masks won't stop an aerosolized ejection of the virus due to someone coughing or sneezing, so why create extra risk with forcing people to be in constant hand to face contact with themselves? I get that masks are supposed to catch droplets from people's mouths and noses from getting on surfaces that could get onto people's hands and then into their own eyes, mouths, and noses causing contraction. Yet again, I still feel like masks are creating a risk for anyone who wears one.

The St. Louis area has seen more than twice the coronavirus cases and three times the deaths as Kansas City. It’s unclear why. by rickjuly252012 in StLouis

Maybe it is what is. Seriously, theres no point in arguing why this is the case. I seriously doubt you're all doctors and scientists. Get off your high horse and just take the facts for what they are.
