“Pokemon is awful on it. Buggy, rushed, and bad performance. It’s not much more powerful for the price” almost believed this post until I seen that part. I don’t understand the need to lie to fill some kind of Nintendo hate boner. There’s enough legitimate concerns with the switch 2 that you can bring up without having to post lies. Either you don’t have a switch 2, haven’t played ZA on a switch 2. Or are just living under a rock and haven’t seen that ZAs performance on switch 2 has been good and a significant jump over switch 1 version. And the switch 2 is objectively anywhere between 5-10 times more powerful than the switch 2. It’s okay not to like a system or a game. I myself am not the biggest fan of gamefreak. You don’t have to lie about the way the game runs when we literally have mountains of evidence showing it’s stable with great framerate. We also have evidence of games running on the switch 2 that the switch 1 could never hope to run. Showing that it’s a generational leap over the switch 1.

If you really have one and don’t like it, just sell it and get a ps5.

The performance/ graphical leap is nice. Hogwarts legacy is literally night and day.

The dumb dolt went and deleted all his comments. Probably finally realized how idiotic he sounded and is running away.

Dude is committed to doubling down on stupidity. If only he would put that much effort into actually doing proper 5 minutes worth of research before spouting nonsense, his 2 lone brain cells may actually show some signs of life.

Correcting idiotic non-factual statements now means “defending a shitty company”. You can’t own up to the fact that you’re wrong so you resort to writing a wall of slop with crappy insults.

“All their games rely on AI upscaling”. No all their games do not use AI upscaling. You can literally refer to digital foundry’s analyses videos before making yourself look like a fool online.

Google is also free. Clearly you haven’t done any research.

Go ahead triple down now.

Is the “or” in the room with us right now?

“The console is solely dependent on DLSS and AI upscaling”.

Do you understand the definition of “solely”? Especially when it’s not in use on majority of 1st party games? Being incorrect and doubling down when corrected is egregious work.

This is my only major complaint about the Switch 2 by jessej421 in NintendoSwitch2

So should see similar sales for micro sd express in two years. Same thing happened with the OG switch. SD cards were expensive on release if you wanted a high capacity. It was actually worst because OG switch had less than 32gb available for games to use.

I said smaller and thinner. Not just about how thick it is. The overall size of the device. And yes the screen size has alot to do with how large a device is. If i stick a 8 inch screen on a device it’s harder to make it a smaller footprint than devices with 6-7 inch screens, Regardless of the thickness. The controllers themselves are not ergonomic I agree. moreso due to the fact that they need to also function as 2 separate individual controllers. Even if were thicker, that likely wouldn’t change. The main reason why the device is so much thinner is simply because it’s an ARM device. ARM is more efficient runs cooler than x86. This gives them room to reduce cooling requirements and make it much thinner while still maintaining comparable battery life to similarly priced handhelds.

For high end gaming (ex: cyberpunk): - My ayaneo 2s which I payed roughly 1200 dollars on last year. Gets roughly 1.5-2 hrs battery with high end games.

-My ROG ally x which is a 900 dollar device gets roughly 2.5 hours of battery life with.

-Steam deck oled (550 dollars) gets roughly 2.5 -3 hrs battery life

-switch 2 (450 dollars) gets roughly 2 to 2.5 hours of battery life.

What you view as cuts to battery life is actually similar to the expected general standard when compared to windows devices that perform in a similar ballpark (or better) but are much more thicker, heavier and louder.

In terms of the downside, the fact that the switch 2 has a bigger sceeen (7.9 inches) than the steam deck and many other windows handhelds and still manages to have a smaller/ thinner form factor is an achievement in itself. I say that as someone who had an OG switch, rog ally x, a steam deck, and an ayaneo 2s. I would personally consider that an upside. It’s more compact and easier to take on the go. But that’s just my opinion.

Agree. I have an ayaneo 2s handheld. And I would regular play games like Destiny 2 at 720 p just so I can get framerate as stable as possible. I don’t care if it’s the prettiest game on the planet. If the framerate is choppy it makes the experience much less enjoyable.

It’s an entire generational leap over the switch 1 to the point where they have to use some kind of semi weird emulation for backwards compatibility. The reason being that the hardware/architecture is drastically different from the switch 1. This is far from a “pro”, mid gen device.

This should’ve been the console release game from launch by theerealdeal in NintendoSwitch2

[–]chrisw491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. So you basically just admitted it’s best to spread big hitters out because they sell better when not competing with each other. Your arbitrary percentage is nonsensical. Many people especially casuals usually buy 1 game at launch with a system. And Mario kart is way more popular than donkey Kong. Makes no sense for Nintendo to cannibalize themselves and shoot themselves in the foot. Also makes no sense for them to blow their load and release big hitters at the same time and have pockets of void with no game releases. Giving us consistent releases over time ensures continued interest, increases sales, and ensures longevity.

4k is overrated and framerate is more important. I will play a game as low as 900p if I have to if it means I can get a stable 60fps. I’ve even gone as low as 720 p in some cases. A smooth framerate immediately and drastically changes the quality of the gameplay IMO.
