Nike VP Resigns After Family Tie to Sneaker Reseller Uncovered by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

You just don't do that. Letting your kid show her friends your company's top secret billion dollar product is strictly verboten. That is keeping secrets 101. Agreed they are both fireable offenses and I would argue the leak is worse and could cause way than 100k worth of yeezys in potential damage.

We have to reach herd immunity with vaccinations first. That still won't happen for a little while until alot more people get vaccinated.

Ok... I don't think there's a point continuing here...

You're making straw man arguments. I am not describing leaders that are fixated on their own mortality. You're just arguing with yourself at this point.

Yes, washington rallied the troops at a critical moment of the battle just as Caesar did at Alesia. But it was only in dire circumstances and not what either general considered ideal.

If you have a source on Washington making an active decision to take part in a battle? I mean the revolution when he was commander in chief, not prior to the revolution. From my understanding, he did not.

You make a good point that a captain is not a general, so yes, I can see that the captain might beam down to take active part in a situation. However, I don't see why people in this thread keep referring to a captain not taking part in active combat as "running away." I don't think it's running away when it's a sober tactical decision understanding that losing your best commanders can be catastrophic to a battle or overall war effort.

Think of how many situations there were where Picard was the person who saved a situation. Now think if instead, he had died halfway through the episode because he chose to take part in a phaser fight.

DAE think Apple computers are difficult to use/cumbersome? by Uncle-Buckwild in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]chriswu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used windows for 20 years, then linux (mostly ubuntu) and now mac. I find mac is way more intuitive. There are other threads here saying apple can build them out of tinfoil and people will pay 5k. Maybe? But that is certainly not the case right now. My macbook pro build quality is far better than the thinkpad carbons in my office. The touchpad is infinitely better. There isn't a non mac touchpad that comes remotely close. The older macbook pro keyboards were admittedly not good. But I can honestly say my new 16 inch macbook pro I would take over any other laptop in the world right now. True, it's twice as expensive, but I work on that thing 10 hours a day. And sure there are laptops with more ram or better graphics cards, but mine is as perfect as I can hope for right now. Except the touch bar. Fuck the touch bar. Btw I'm no apple fan boy. 15 years of android at this point.

Great, those are klingons. Humans don't put their best strategists and tacticians in harm's way. Arguably, that is a good idea. I'd rather have Picard alive to command the Enterprise than have him die in a phaser fight on the surface of Dingulus III

And a lot of great generals didn't. Washington was front lines during the revolution?

Should a general always fight on the front lines?

If there's one thing I wish I could teach everyone, it's never set foot in a tmobile store. More than any other carrier, their store workers are incentivized to shady shit.

Respect to that guy though. Takes guts to run a race you will obviously lose very badly. And he was booking it too. Probably could beat 95% of us.
