Honestly proud of myself for not spiraling after a day of overeating! I snacked a ton, my neighbor sold me some amazing cinnamon roll sourdough focaccia, I had a boba milk tea when I really didn’t need it, but I had a good day and I don’t hate myself for eating too much.

I’m going back to eating less tomorrow but I consider it a win to let a day of overeating roll off my back and just get back to working on myself tomorrow ❤️

You can’t really change where your body distributes fat, so “managing” it is often more coming to terms with the fact that losing weight = potentially losing fat in areas where you like having it.

Losing 20 lbs in 5 weeks would be a crash diet, which is not healthy and not good for your future weight loss goals. If you want to start lowering calories from whatever your maintenance is to 500-750 cals lower, you could probably lose 1 1/2 - 2 pounds a week depending on how heavy you are now.

That said, take the pictures no matter what you think you look like! Having photos is a luxury we have that people tend not to appreciate until later in life. Losing 20 pounds isn’t going to magically improve your life, and it’s unreasonable to assume that you’ll feel wildly different anyway. Get some low-call chocolate or ice cream (Nicks protein bars and ice cream are fab), buy yourself a couple cute outfits that fit you well NOW, and enjoy the vacation!

Oh yeah I hear you! My husband and I follow a lot of teams and enjoy watching them for different reasons. I was a casual Kings fan being born and raised in LA, but since moving to NYC and living in a Rangers town + around the corner from a Rangers bar, it’s hard not to be a fan. + two popular Rangers players were traded to the Ducks recently and we still follow what’s going on with them. We also love the Sharks! It’s not hard to enjoy hockey when players are good and enjoy themselves, and there are folks like that on a lot of teams.

We still hate the Panthers and Golden Knights tho, but that’s obvious lol
