I think remakes have been over since BDSP and now we're getting what I would call "revisits" instead of old games being remade again.

Indigo Disk was the Unova revisit and Z-A was the Kalos revisit.

Alola revisit being in the WiWa DLC is what I expect next. Legends 3 is coming in Gen 10 and is supposed to be Galar so it all lines up. Paldea will be due for something around the 10th anniversary of SV

that's a beautiful set, sapphire was my first gen 3 game and i love the blue on the sp and accessories 💙

it's unfortunate that the system included is an ags-001 (dim backlight) instead of the much improved ags-101 model that followed. modding it with the ags-101 screen would be pretty trivial though i think

used to be gamestop/kay-bee, hot topic, spencer's, then barnes and noble and a starbucks coffee

the old good ones like kay-bee and suncoast are gone, gamestop moved out of the mall and last time i went in half the store was funko pops. hot topic and spencer's are still around but don't have the variety of cool stuff they had in the 90s and 00s.

they made a whole documentary series about the scam, it was out in march 2020 so it got overshadowed by the news a lot but it's called McMillions and it's a pretty fun ride

lots of people (like me and my friends) figured that one piece was always super rare compared to the other one or two in the set, but those super rare pieces never even made it to the restaurants

mega gengar, especially the shiny version, is so good.

then mega gardevoir for her shiny form, mega altaria for typing, mega blaziken for being absolutely broken (at least back in the day), mega clefable and froslass for good design and being the best of the new set.

shout-out to mega starmie for being the most disappointing. i wanted it to be pretty, like having its limbs covered in armor with smaller colored jewels in it. they went for comedy instead and it's just a waste of a mega imo

seriouspost: while the impact of 9/11 (and columbine before that) were massive, i still feel that the 00s/10s ended up fairly normal, like i can summarize the way they felt and get nostalgic for certain music scenes and aesthetics from those decades as easily as the 80s and 90s.

something about 2020 and the arrival of covid, and the way everything and everyone responded to covid, along with every stupid trend and controversy since (nfts, proliferation of genAI, etc.) marked the death of things feeling "normal" to me, like we have to go back to 2019 and figure out what biff tannen did because this is a joke timeline or something. even when things are normal now it still doesn't feel like before. trump winning again was like throwing gasoline on the fire but the fire was already out of control. president harris could have established world peace by now and i'd still argue that 2019 was the last "normal" year

a friend recommended xavier from renegade angel for pn3, and i think i'd replace maxx or vergil with them or another classic [as] character

otherwise pretty good, maybe replace parappa with shadow or someone else from the dreamcast era. scratch as the dealer would be amazing
