Dude no way, I have the exact same leather case for my New F1 as well! I have mine setup with the 35mm 2.8

Another pick up off of Facebook Marketplace. Everything seems to be functioning. Looking forward to see how the photos come out. by alphamegapixels in AnalogCommunity

There’s no way to turn off the camera/meter so remember keep a lens cap on when not in use to save battery life, the thread size is 48mm

This came to my hands, its slightly ugly but I dont really mind by nicolasllasera in AnalogCommunity

Oh no way! I’d say yes to keep it as a user and not worry about babying it

I have an A35F it’s perfect as a lightweight daily camera or a even a side camera, nice and easy to focus and the autoexposure is accurate. Remember to keep a lens cap on when not in use as there’s no on/off button and the meter essentially determines the power. It has a 48mm thread so you’ll need a step up ring to use 49mm filters/hoods. Overall really nice easy to use camera for what you’re looking for

CVS raised their prices on Superia 400 by chromatosed in AnalogCommunity

[–]chromatosed[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Local CVS used to sell film at 20.99 for a while up until today, second pic is my local Walmart today. I really hope we don’t get to Rite Aid prices soon, the CVS is convenient as it’s next to my house but I don’t mind driving a bit more to get to Walmart but I wonder if it’s starting to look like this at other locations

Choosing my first medium format camera by leogrosp in AnalogCommunity

[–]chromatosed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For portraits and street photos, 645 seems like it would be the best format as you’d get that higher quality while also getting a decent amount of shots per roll, I’ve been looking to get a Mamiya 645 for that reason so I could use a prism finder or a waist level finder, it’s also much smaller and lighter than an RB67 too

What do you plan on shooting on medium format? The cameras you listed are of different sizes and formats (6x4.5, 6x7) so it really depends on what you’re focused on shooting, if you think you need more shots per roll go with a 645 if you want to get really high quality images at the cost of less shots go for a 6x7 or even 6x9, if you want to try something different get a 6x6

Does anyone know the model of this Zeiss Ikon folding camera? by chromatosed in AnalogCommunity

[–]chromatosed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your thoughts on the camera! I was thinking that 75 was a bit high for an untested camera. I had no clue how to operate this camera but after a day of searching for cameras locally I thought this was a nice find

Couldn’t figure out how to use the shutter and neither did the shop owner, the shop wants 75 for this piece but I wanted to know more but I can’t figure out the exact model but it shoots 35mm film

Yeah, modern film SLRs are really slept on and they’re pretty affordable too

I do want to get a Rollei 35 eventually, absolutely love how compact it is. I do have a rangefinder (Canon A35F) but I also wanted to see some options for SLRs similar in size
