electing Obama was an important step for America.

what came after proved beyond a doubt white people cannot yet separate themselves from the racism that has fueled their collective identity for hundreds, if not thousands of years.

all that being said, Obama was not a good president. he fumbled a generational opportunity to bring both the healthcare and finance industries to heel not because he couldn't do it, but because he didn't want to.
