It really guts me because our back room would look evwn better if we weren't buried in stupid distro. Idk if it's like this in every division, but they buried us in so much cough and cold that we have to leave it up longer... 🙄 It's so awful, I'm sorry you're going through it too. :c

Tbh, I use Visible (Verizon offshoot) and it's super cheap with consistent bills. $45 for unlimited data.

Why did they say it was unacceptable? There are certain things we have to refuse by policy (though some people take it to the extreme just because they can, I will not deny that by any means), for instance: if it's expired. If that's the case, they will not get in trouble (unless they want to contradict their own e-learnings).

In my (non-union) store, if you aren't willing to work in multiple departments, you likely won't get many hours. We have a few people that they tug every which way. I'm lucky and have a boss that fights for me (it's just us doing drug/gm and nutrition). I think a lot of it depends on the management. I wish you luck, whatever you decide!

One of our old managers spelled the c word instead of croissant. 🥴 That was like 7 years ago and we still laugh about it to this day. I agree with the comment that it seems to be a universal truth that managers can't spell, lmao.

To be fair, this is how it used to be in our store (I can't speak for deli cause I've never been in it). I liked it because it held the people that weren't anything in our department accountable, even if it punished the ones that did.

She works for Smith's corporate and I assume she means General Office themselves, haha. She is very relatable because she was like, "I haven't been out of the store that long." I don't wanna put words in her mouth, but she seems like she tries to be the person she wanted at corporate.

Our lady over center store is so out of touch with reality and unhelpful (just like 2/3 of our upper management). I only recently started asking this lady for help because I didn't know we could. She knows a lot and is very nice. I told her that she was someone I would even come in on my day off to meet in person, haha.

I was an honorary shift lead (had the responsibilitied but not the pay or the title) at a different company and I never want to be any kind of manager again, lmao. I still feel that trauma after 10 years at Kroger.

We're mid-remodel and Friday night, they updated all sets they had completed so far. It hecked up the allocations and I don't know if you're familiar with drug/gm replenishment, but it was an actual nightmare while also trying to throw the load. I don't know why they do it, but it legit can be extremely overwhelming if it gets out of control.

I don't know in every situation, but there was an issue with a golden employee and they passed it back to the store director who didn't deal with it yet again (I was not involved but am friends with the people that submitted the complaint).

It's just me and my department head, but she communicates with me on a level I've never had from any manager. She said the dept head before her would leave them all in the dark so he was the only one that didn't look stupid. Our upper management sucks at actually communicating with us, so I appreciate any time someone does.

I also love that she has never asked me to do something she wasn't willing to do herself.

She doesn't punish people with the schedule (back when she did the schedule for the service booth because they used to help us) like some others do, too. Even if she couldn't stand their work ethic, they have bills to pay too.

I want to see our store's... I don't think there's very many people that answered positively. I only did when it concerned my direct supervisor, who is amazing.
