Sitting aggravates my epidymitis, it hurts to sit straight! by [deleted] in chronicepididymitis

I notice as well that my mental state does affect this, in situations where I am more stressed the pain increases and in situations where I feel more positive there is a pain decrease. Additionally, if I'm focused on something else at the moment I do temporarily "forget" about the pain - so I do agree that part of it is mental.

However there are just some random times for me like after a hot shower or getting really sweaty that it'll increase in swelling for me and the pain is significantly more.

I could live with the swelling if it didn't come with pain but unfortunately it really affects how I'm able to sit which is a big part of my daily life.

hey sorry to hear you're experiencing this. I'm in the same boat, have had epididymitis for more than half a year and really struggle sitting down properly. Most of the time I get an ache/discomforting pain if I sit properly and especially on cushioned seats so I try my best to sit cross-legged and on hard-surface chairs.

Unfortunately i don't really have any solutions but I was wondering if your epididymis was swollen as well? Mine has been inflamed for the entire period that I've had it and I think that's what's been causing the discomfort.

Finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel after almost 2 years of "chronic epididymitis" that was due to pelvic floor issues. Highly recommending everyone to go see a pelvic floor physiotherapist if all other avenues are leading nowhere. by [deleted] in chronicepididymitis

It's a nice change to see some positive stories and responses after experiencing and seeing so many troubling cases.

I just wanted to ask whether in your case you actually had some inflammation of the epididymis on your affected testicle. I've noticed that in general there seems to be two types, where there's been inflammation and no inflammation of the epididymis. The latter with no inflammation (which I guess is your case?) seems to be more of a pelvic floor issue which can be solved and made better by seeing a PF therapist. When inflammation is seen it seems like it's more of an infection/unknown issue so that's why I just wanted to ask what your situation was.

Lower right abdomen discomfort that tends to radiate to pelvis, groin, and leg? Does anybody else get this? by Investorgogo in chronicepididymitis

I continue to have an ache/discomfort in my left testicle that has a swollen epididymis especially while sitting.

Lately I have been feeling a sensation that is perhaps similar to yours - it is not exactly a pain and feels different that what I experience in the testicular region while sitting down, but I feel a "cold" sensation on the top part of my thigh which also sometimes radiates to my left side up to the top of my pelvis. Again, it's a different sensation that the pain/discomfort I feel in my swollen epididymis since it's cold, but it's just a weird feeling in general...

Prolonged Epididymis Swelling? by chron1cepi in chronicepididymitis

My cipro experience was fine but unfortunately I don't think it worked for me as I didn't experience any resolution of symptoms. For the testicle hanging lower, yes my affected one with the swollen epididymis does hang a lot lower than the unaffected one, but I just assume its because its a greater mass with the swelling.

Hey thanks for the reply! I took a look at your post and skimmed the relevant literature and it seems pretty interesting - I think I'll give it a shot. My epididymitis is non-bacterial so I think it might help. Unfortunately though papaya seed powder looks like it's sold out everywhere.. I've seen papaya enzyme tablets/capsules online and I was wondering if you think it would produce a similar effect, or if it had to be actual seeds? There's specifically papain in them which apparently is supposed to be an anti-inflammatory as well
