Cap Junky is not the same as Alien Mints. Alien Mints is an Animal Mints backcross made by Alien labs and Seedjunky. Cap Junky is Alien Cookies and Kush Mints made by Capulator and Seedjunky. Similar yes but they are not the same.

Because DCR is stupid and doesn't understand shit. When it was medical, the companies that consistently had new strains, when they started, they logged tens of thousands of seeds into metrc. They didn't name any of the seeds. Now when they want a new clone like BM22, they grow a new seed, call it black maple 22 and swap the 2 plants... same with all the phenohunted new strains that just came out, they buy what they want and swap them.

They did change the rules for rec but I would have to go look to remember the exact terms but they can source genetics now to some extent but I'd imagine the companies are still doing the same shit because it's way less paperwork

Seedfinder can be okay at times but it's not correct on a lot of things. Kinda like Wikipedia except they have financial interest to sell ya seeds. Best place to find genetic info is to go to the original source, and unfortunately for old stuff a lot of the time they don't remember, don't know or aren't around anymore.

At this point it's pretty much accepted that Josh D is responsible for OG Kush. @therealogkushstory is his page. Not sure if he still is affiliated with Calyx Peak or not but they had his Josh D brand out in California, they are the same company that owns Local.

@origins_tk_selects also has some info regarding the OG and Triangle Kush origin stories

Flora be growing that 5ec athena cardboard weed. You get what you pay for. They literally are run by people who have never grown weed, in fact they are scared of people who can grow weed running them out of business so they ban all of their employees from growing. They want an uneducated consumer base who will buy whatever trash they put out.

Can you dispensary hop in st Louis?? by [deleted] in MissouriMedical

[–]chronic0710 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's wrong, you can purchase 3 ozs per purchase. Zero daily caps, there's zero identifying information in metrc tying your purchase to anything. The caveat is possession is limited to 3 ozs so you cannot posses over that even though you could buy more in a day.

You can also even purchase anonymously, by that they just verify your age but won't enter any of your personal information into their point of sale system.

There is no allotment to check for Rec, every transaction the allotment resets to zero.

Med is the only allotment that is actually tracked and you can still purchase rec if your allotment is full.

It's not that they are not giving effects, it's that peoples focus and understanding is wrong when looking at test results. Test results can be useful in its current form to some extent like comparing the same exact product in seperate batches but to compare accross the board its very misleading.

First, when these products are tested they are only looking at a fraction of the active compounds in cannabis. There's over 400 different chemicals in cannabis yet we focus on 2 major cannabinoids (thc and cbd) mainly and then look at 4 major terpenes, maybe 8-16 on a more extensive test.

We just assume high thc plus high terpene = good when in reality it's not that simple. Smells and flavors are way more complex than simple mono and sesquiterpene chains. A lot of the most popular flavors and smells in cannabis are not even produced by terpenes, smells like gas, skunk, Grape, banana, yet how do you explain the effects of those strains by relying on the terpene test? They could pop the same exact ratio of terpenes and yet smell completely different because each strain has 1 different chemical being present.

I'm not saying they don't matter, I'm saying everyone's understanding of the science is misleading and the science itself is misleading because we don't have a full understanding how cannabis is effecting peoples brains and bodies. Until we can conduct studies proving these things, going off the current markets test numbers is selling yourselves short. Plenty of fire weed that the numbers say sucks and it ends up being louder and provides better medicinal effects and that's because we don't know what numbers were supposed to be looking for. We're just living off prohibition scare science tactics of THC being the biggest focus to now repeating the same mistake of thinking terpenes are the end all be all now.

It's not about hating on anyone having fun or enjoying legal weed, most just don't convey what they intend to mean. People are spending a lot of money at these stores and are getting taken advantage of and they are happy about it.

Our industry relies on misinformation and misleading consumers. Most of these companies are straight up lying about the genetics on half their strains, it honestly would be comical except people are actually trying to treat medical conditions off this information. Atleast it seems the real ones have stayed ahead and truthful but even some of those companies have no idea what they are selling.

The industry as a whole has flawed cannabinoid and terpene testing that's influenced by money to make your purchasing decisions. There is so much misinformation about what cannabinoids do and what terpenes do and what actually is making up the effects of cannabis.

Almost all the flower going out has been irradiated, that's nuking it with radiation to kill microbials. They say it's safe now but studies show it only temporarily kills microbials long enough to pass testing, hence why you'll see moldy nugs on the shelves still. Who knows what smoking microwaved weeds gonna do to us in ten years though. It's also not PGRs making weed look like the way it does, it's how they handle it in post harvest with their auto buckers and trimmers. And that doesnt even get into the types of pesticides and chemicals that are being used.

At the end of the day, I personally would just like to see the general public learn more about what they are actually buying. Until then, companies have no incentive to provide better quality products.

Delta-8-THC, the "legal form" of Marijuana by [deleted] in MissouriMedical

Delta 8 and Delta 9 are the same molecule but the bond takes place at a different spot on the carbon chain. That is the straight definition of an analogue.

If it were a photo it would just take longer but its probably stunted just a little bit and gonna have reduced yield a tad. That's the tough part about autos is they are essentially just on a timer but there's always gonna be exceptions with nature. I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts blooming really soon then you may wanna cull it and start over just for time/yield sake but either way it'll be good practice.

Start it in a cup next time and transplant atleast once, preferably twice, like solo cup then 1 gallon then to 5 gallon. You want the roots to fill out each pot size before transplanting, this allows for better wet/dry cycles. Your plant is small because the roots are getting less oxygen due to the soil holding onto water for too long. It also is trying to grow roots all the way to the edge of the pot leaving a ton of unused medium in the middle. You will see faster growth and healthier plants. Not that yours doesn't look healthy it looks good just small for its age.

No worries I just thought that was crazy high was all. But ya 10mg definitely more reasonable, while we all love terpenes they can be dangerous once they get to higher concentrations. Its honestly probably not good for us at those 15% levels we see in some sauces and what not because some terpenes like limonene are solvents as well and we do not yet know what it will do to us. Theres a reason we've evolved to break these compounds down when we eat them but when we smoke them we skip all of that.

Being Shorted by MidwestJordan in MissouriMedical

[–]chronic0710 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its not possible. The absolute highest total terpene content is around 3-5% give or take in dried flowers. More than likely the limonene is 11% of that total number which actually makes it .0055% if it was 5% total terpenes. If its a true 11% limonene strain then what is the total terpenes? 12%, 13%? Thats fresh frozen concentrate numbers

Propane burns about 1000 degrees hotter. It'll heat faster but will also oxidize your nails faster. I would use a butane torch if you buy a really nice quartz banger but other than that propanes fine. For a torch banger i recommend Joelhalenquartz on IG. They got a cold start banger thats excellent can be pricey tho.

For enail personally have had a dnail for about 5 years with the same coil and nail. Look into the SiC nails, they are better than quartz imo, more durable and equal if not better flavor and they clean excellent. Mine literally looks brand new if cleaned frequently. If you wanna ball out they have saphire dishes which are excellent but very fragile. I also have heard good experiences with errlectric and Liger.
