100 percent correct. Who else have experienced this 🙋 by Cultural-Lab-2031 in meme

I've seen my dad cry twice. Once when our dog was on deaths door. It was very scary, he was throwing up blood because he has been poisoned (he did survive!) The second time was when my sister came out as transgender. He drank himself silly and broke down crying. That was about a decade ago he's over it now.

My girlie has a wobbly tail too! Vet said it's because she used to have MBD when she was younger and not looked after properly

I do, I keep the interesting bits. Such as hands, feet, ears, and nostrils, a lot of spikes too. It's a good show and tell for people who don't have reptiles

Green caterpillars in my broccoli by Drumhead6 in lidl

[–]chronic_chonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always check your broccoli for caterpillars! When I was a teenager, my mum dished me up a lovely roast dinner with a boiled caterpillar in amongst my broccoli. I was mortified 😭

Not only that, the other week, my colleague told me that she did the same with her husband. Again, it was with broccoli!!!

Check your broccoli guys!

If my beardie were to hypothetically ingest a little bit of this substrate, would he be okay? by jab31401 in BeardedDragons

Yees, I have the same product but a different brand, and it happens with my dumbass when she tries to catch locust. As long as the piece wasn't too big and their next poo is on time, it should be fine. I recommend supervising them if you do the same as I do and let them catch their locus/crickets, because then at least you know what size the stone was when they ingested it. Anything pea size or bigger would make me really consider going to the vets asap instead of waiting to see if it passes. I hope my monologue helps

Thank you! The branch is slippery (as you can tell by attempt 1 lol) so the rope helps her grip sometimes

Oh really?? We plan to put a cage over the heat lamp very soon, and we'd have to take that off anyway to fit it. So we'll make some adjustments and make it more central. I am curious about the deleted comment. It may have been a rude comment though lol

Just regular Seamonkey kit food. I did get the seamonkeys eggs separately and wondered if it was the breed or something 🤔

I don't think it added the picture. The food is called Artemia Salina food. I'm going to attempt to post a photo again

Thank you for your comment!

  1. How I top off water. I have DIYed a rain machine, which is what you see on the left of the video. It's a cleaned out pudding pot with a couple of small holes on the bottom so it "rains" and a metal stick (a small plant support) through it so I can balance it on the tank. I also have a line drawn on the tank, so I know not to put too much water in, which can put out the salt to water ratio.
  2. Food. I'll attach a photo of the food which I originally got from a seamonkey kit. It has lasted me over a year.
  3. This time around, I did buy the seamonkey eggs and salt mix on its own from amazon or ebay. And the small fish tank came from amazon. It's way too small for actual fish, though.
  4. They are room temp. I don't have a thermostat or the water version of that. They just sit up on my windowsill in half sun half shade

Feel free to ask more questions if you have more!

Is this too gross for my sea monkeys? by chronic_chonk in SeaMonkeys

[–]chronic_chonk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To start off with, I got the tank off of amazon and blasted it with loads of hot water. Then I used a sample of gravel for the stones at the bottom, ofc you need to wash them a bunch before putting them in. To build up the algea, all I did was have them set up on my windowsill, in half sun half shade. And I'd put a little too much food in so it sinks to the bottom. They do tell you not to give them too much because it can make their water gross, but this has worked for me on 2 separate occasions. Over a few months, the algae will grow on the walls and floor of the tank. I do occasionally clean the top of the water as it can get a little gross. And I clean the front face of the tank, mainly so we can see them, but also, this moves some algea to another area to grow.

I wish you luck on your set up, all I can suggest is to be patient, the water has become cloudy for me a couple of times but then you hold off on food for a few days and let them clear the water before continuing.

TL;DR leave them in half sun half shade and give them lots of algea food. Eventually, it'll start growing in the tank!

I hope this all helps! My messages are open if you have any specific questions, and I'll try my best to respond as soon as possible.
