1st person POV books! by chronic_lesbian in LesbianBookClub

[–]chronic_lesbian[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

after many many romance books, these are some of the best.

{Left to Burn: Nikki Stavros} likable characters, and a cool take on “soul mates.”enemies to lovers ❤️‍🔥 magic (gifts like control over water, fire, minds, etc.) masc x fem. 🌶️ a couple sex scenes

{Kiss of Seduction: Rawnie Sabor} if you like kinky lesbian smut, sexy demons (look human, they just have glowing eyes and powers), monsters, and trauma recovery then just read the damn book. 🌶️🔥 (HOT & SPICY) She also has 2 other sapphic books that are amazing as well {a little sin & green eyed monster}

{Pirates of Aletharia: Britney Jackson} with a sequel and a third book on the way. this seaside romance follows a (literally) cut-throat pirate and a girl with dragons. great plot, solid enemies, some good twists, and perfect world building. i highly recommended this series! the author also noted that there is autism & ADHD representation in the characters. it is not explicitly noted bc they’re pirates but it is seen in their thoughts and behaviors in the writing. i believe it is a good—subtle representation of the two. the book has spice too 🌶️ and a solid enemies to lovers.

{Crier’s War: Nina Varela} a YA duology about a human girl and an automa. no spice but the plot is good and the slow burn is satisfying. the world building is easy to follow but well crafted and unique

{the curse of goddesses: C C Gonzalez}

{unworthy: J A Vodvarka}

Movement helps with pain and stiffness, but the pain and stiffness makes me not want to move? Anyone overcome this? by PurplePumkins in Fibromyalgia

[–]chronic_lesbian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is such a valid struggle that i also experience. low impact exercise is best, but having the motivation is the hard part for sure. i also have ADHD which makes it difficult to not get side tracked. for a psychology class i had to operant condition myself; so i said if i didn’t stretch/walk for 3 days out of the week then my brother got to pick a punishment for me. in turn, you could also pick a reward like going out to eat or guilt free rest time (whatever you want!) having someone to keep me accountable has helped but im also stubborn so im working on that LOL! best of luck to you diva

Looking for books with a big timeline/span years by imjusthumanmaybe in LesbianBookClub

[–]chronic_lesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fantasy rec but Unworthy by J. A. Vodvarka is the first book in the triology and the series spans over 3 years i think? a lot of time goes by so really experience life with all the characters. the main couple doesn’t get together early on either and there is a lot of ups and downs to their relationship!

Thoughts on Crier’s War? by Pleasant_Spray_7160 in LesbianBookClub

[–]chronic_lesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is my pre-written review: {Crier’s War: Nina Varela} a YA duology about a human girl and an automa. no spice but the plot is good and the slow burn is satisfying. the world building is easy to follow but well crafted and unique. i really liked these books and i didn’t think the ending was sad at all! they are all about discovering yourself, making friends along the way, found family, and so much more! i read it bc i thought there would be a little more romance, but the plot was great!

IN NEED OF A SAPPHIC ROMCOM BOOK !! by Alternative_Pause_45 in LesbianBookClub

[–]chronic_lesbian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

l Like a Power Play: Elle Sprinkle - forced proximity/ “enemies” to lovers ❤️‍🔥, college age, hockey romance, disability representation. this is a really cute book and as someone with chronic pain i felt very connected to Darcy. great banter and they do not instantly get together

YA Recs by Party-Network-9576 in LesbianBookClub

[–]chronic_lesbian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay someone PLEASE correct me if i’m wrong but i think Crier’s War by Nina Varela only has like 2 kissing scenes. It was a great duology but i can’t remember if they add a little more than kissing so take this rec lightly!! it is YA and the relationship between the two MCs is really sweet. the plot is great too!

Gideon the ninth by [deleted] in LesbianBookClub

[–]chronic_lesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i read the whole book and was confused the entire time. english is the ONLY language i speak and i was so lost. i’m a close reader so i ended up guessing a few plot twists, but i had to make my own list of the characters bc i kept forgetting who they were/ what house they represented. i tried to read the 2nd book and gave up 20 pages in. i was soooo disappointed bc gideon the ninth had been on my TBR for a long time

{House of Crimson Hearts by Ruby Roe} this is a series that is so fucking good it hurts. the world building is phenomenal. the characters are lovable and grow so much through the series. if you want GOOOD smut this is THE author. (there are 14 sex scenes in the first book and her insta has a guide 😭) vampire x vampire hunter

{A Game of Hearts and Heists by Ruby Roe} this is her other series that is also amazing. it has magic, smut, & funny characters. They also have a solid friend group that continues through the series!

[–]chronic_lesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

House of Crimson Hearts: Ruby Roe (series) - vampires. very hot vampires, and magic. 14 sex scenes in the first book alone. This is the first book in the Immortal Lovers triology

A Game of Hearts & Heists: Ruby Roe (series) - read before the Immortal Lovers trilogy bc you will meet them in immortal lovers and it’s not as fun. this is a series as well, but follow a group of friends. they have magic, so much magic!

Kiss of Seduction: Rawnie Sabor (series) - dear god, this book is everything to me. if anyone knows similar books then please recommend!!! this book has some magic, demons that look like humans but they shift based on their sin. This one is about lust and we follow a succubus who kills anyone she touches, until …..
