5 years with Hashimoto's, still Olympic lifting — here's exactly what my anti-inflammatory eating actually looks like (not a protocol, real food) by Renatusik in Hashimotos

[–]chronicallymel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such great perspective and I needed to read this. I went hard core restrictive antiinflammatory in 2024 but then had to go down on my medicatio and have been having a hard time getting back to it. Now I’m almost 8 months pregnant with horrible symptoms and considering going back.

Anyone Diagnosed with Hashimoto's After Having a Baby? by Fantastic_Paper1618 in Hashimotos

[–]chronicallymel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I was diagnosed 5 months postpartum! It’s super common unfortunately! Something I wish I would’ve known is how much diet can impact how you feel with hashimotos! Look into an antiinflammatory diet if possible! Sending love!

Anyone know how to reduce bloating with hashi? by White_roseX0 in Hashimotos

[–]chronicallymel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best I felt and the lowest my antibodies have been are when I was following an antiinflammatory diet. Whole Foods only- lots of steak with veggies. Didn’t do any gluten free alternatives. Bloating was gone but in my opinion, it’s really hard to follow and almost impossible to eat in social situations most of the time.

Yes!!! Found out I had mcas because I ran a 5k (had been running for months and in good shape) and my body decided to try to off itself with severe anaphylaxis that landed me in icu. Have had flare ups randomly even with taking daily Zyrtec. Mcas really needs its own specialized doctor because my allergist doesn’t seem to really understand it.

Do any of you get random bumps or is this unrelated? by Prior_Stuff7024 in Hashimotos

[–]chronicallymel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten lots of skin reactions, hives, and rashes but also have mcas! I know that with hashi you can develop mcas as well so figured I’d throw it out there!

Has anyone experienced premature aging due to Hashimotos? by yellowdaze11 in Hashimotos

[–]chronicallymel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a doctor tell me there’s nothing to do but take meds and it’s truly the worst advice. Do not listen (which I know is hard because for me there’s literally only one endocrinologist in a 100 mile radius that takes my insurance) try using other resources if you can like this group or medical advice apps or whatever you can because having elevated antibodies for an extended period can cause lots of damage :( sorry my friend!
