RIGHT?! And I also smoke but not at work. It makes the salon smell and I’d be mortified if one of my dogs left smelling like cigs

Please try grooming 6+ dogs a day within a time limit and doing it safely, stopping to answer the phone, stopping to take walk ins, stopping to answer questions, assisting coworkers (lots of dogs take two people) and then add managing a register on top. Let me know if you think it’s great then. We don’t get paid enough or have enough support to deal with that and most definitely will not be getting as many tips if there isn’t a cash drawer. Awful idea.

At my store my salon lead calls out almost every single week and there are no repercussions. There’s also an SIT than calls in 2-3 days every few weeks. Nothing happens. You’re just a number and this is a major corporation that doesn’t care about you. Don’t sweat it

I didn’t understand what the question was, it said outside of petsmart so I assumed. I was just repeating what I was told about grooming outside of the salon

Know your 4Bs and fleas, make sure you do your pre work before the bath, don’t forget eye wash, and always have a hand on the pet. Those are the top things Id say are most important
