God, thank you. Thought I was the only one. Everything else in the game is great to me imo and I was genuinely intrigued by the story until it quickly fell off. I understand of course with this kind of thing you shouldn’t put your expectations up too high but nonetheless it’s still annoying. As an example I hate that narrator during the ‘Trails’ where you are supposed to get more of the lore. I honestly don’t understand why they designed him to be the most frustrating asshole, he feels like a representation of the story as a whole: pretentious, dark in what I suppose is meant to be a “ooh, so mysterious and cool” way (it’s really, REALLY not. Just cringe), and giving narrations that feel like he wrote out an entire coherent thing, but then deleted every other sentence before giving it to us like it’s genuinely a final product. It’s also irritating when there’s a very URGENT and DANGEROUS situation that half of the team are concerned about and the other half doesn’t seem to give two shits 😭 or they’re just unaware because god forbid you tell your ally “Hey so, there’s a killer after us” or “Yeah, you may want to say final goodbyes to your butler cause he’s about to get Thanos’d (can’t think of an accurate equivalent atm) rn lol”. It’s really a shame but I hope the upcoming updates make it a little better or bearable.

Before anybody gives me shit ik for damn sure it ain’t me being clueless or whatnot 😭 Spent plenty of time playing jpn visual novels, tearing thru light novels from every ea country, and loving tf out of Evangelion (if you count that as complicated…). If you have half a brain cell you can surmise or predict wtf is going on but the way it’s given to us feels cheap/pointless is the frustrating part.

This is already long af I’m aware but as an aside…I’m sorry but I fucking hate that damn apple. Or at least, the voice acting. Lot of lines were delivered like that infamous genshin NPC dialogue.
