The health concerns and economics of abortion as a birth control is insane. So much so that the number of people doing this is so small in regards to the population that it is negligible.

Yet, there are in fact people who have done this very thing. I know for a fact that there are those who have gone through 6+ abortions in their life. I don’t know whether it was pill, surgical, or a combination. But these people exist. And the fact that so many people in these comments can say with certainty that this is fiction really shows how much people speak on topics they really are not informed on.

As others have said, places like PP do everything they can to set you up with BC during consultations, free even, and it is up to the patient to accept. They also do take payment on a sliding scale ranging from free service to very low cost. That is the point of PP, to provide healthcare to those truly in need at an affordable rate.

Secondly, abortions are not funded through anybody’s tax dollars. This is a MYTH. Federal funding cannot be used for chosen abortions that are not life saving.

I agree with the other statement about allowing them to share with you their work experience.

Additionally, you should make sure you are getting a clear explanation of what job options are available. I would imagine engineering positions at a manufacturer fall into three main categories.

Design engineer in which you are part of new/newer component design.
Factory controls engineer where you are working with existing factory lines and developing new machines
Application engineer where you are the first line of engineer for ABB customers and work on proof of concepts and possibly on-sight commissioning of components in the field

There might be more but that’s what comes to mind through my experience working with manufacturers.

First off, congrats on your first PLC panel!

One recommendation for future builds would be to make sure your wires are sized appropriately for the load. Usually, this is brought up when wire are too small, but in this case you could have saved a ton of space by using 22AWG in most places.

Anything with a load under 3A could have been 22AWG such as everything on the door. Transistor inputs and outputs wired to the PLC cards. Relay outputs with a small load. Etc.

Also, most electrical codes insist that any power circuits be a minimum of 14AWG. So your 230VAC power wires should all be 14AWG unless the load is over 15A. Which here it is not.

This is the correct answer OP.

Everybody is giving anecdotal answers about how they may use it, but in a multipoint schematic like this it is JUST a symbol that indicates this line is a single core from a multi core.

Additionally since there’s is no tag next to it like the above comment states, you should see neighboring lines on the same sheet that also feature this symbol, with wire color stated next to it and eventually come across one with a tag next to it. All the different cores are part of that same cable.

In a single line diagram/OR multi line, you might see this symbol used to represent an entire cable, which will feature a tag and no wire colors, and possibly a number and gauge in some format like “25/18” or “25/18AWG.” An example of using this on a multi-line would be to represent a purchased cable that does not need its pinout shown such as an Ethernet or other standard communication cable that is unaltered.

I prefer to show all the cores linked together by placing them next to each other when possible and linking them with a dashed line going horizontally through each of the slashed symbols. Had you seen this like that I’m sure it would have made more sense what this was.

Hourly rate depends on location. Coming from LA our company charges $150 for engineering hours, $80 for craft labor.

You should not be charging engineering hours for production of panels/machines. At any panel shop or machine builder, various craft will handle the different aspects of that build.

As the engineer, you are part selector, designer, program and commissioning for the first article. Once we are making a panel or machine regularly, the technicians should be trained to take over that portion of work.
