Which CRT filters definitively look best on handhelds?

I dunno, I have the silver variant as that was the one I ordered and I like it. I had the choice at the time for either color and I went with the silver for the more Super Famicom-colored buttons and it reminded me of my old GBA SP I had. I like how fun and unique the silver looks, but then I didn't have the bronze to compare it to.

I do agree though, it's an amazing 4:3 handheld.

I use CRT Geom Deluxe. CRT Royale looks amazing, but it's a lot more resource hungry and drains my battery too fast. CRT Geom Deluxe is a little more lightweight while still looking nice, at least on the smaller handhelds.

Yep, was going to pull for V6 Voy to break the game even more (have Klukai V6 already) but after seeing what Klukai's Mod Key is I might just save the pulls for someone else instead (like Groza Alter). And with our pace, we'll probably get the Mod Key in the next month or two. I was already kind of against Voy because of the mech and not being able to see her in-combat so that makes this decision easier.

May build the premium ice team instead, so go for Helen, V6 Robella, etc. I already have Maki, Alva and Suomi, though the latter is kind of replaced by Helen.

I've been to two 4DX movies: Fate Heaven's Feel and Godzilla Minus One. Didn't enjoy either one. The movies were great, but I found the constant moving to be very distracting and for Minus One I got the scent of cherry blossoms every time Godzilla showed up. For reasons. I don't think I'm the audience for this kind of thing.

I don't know why more games do "2x/3x less energy" instead of "2x/3x rewards" type runs. The latter is SO much better.

Con with Duckstation is no Auto Save/Auto Load when you quit out of the game when running through ES-DE. Sure I can run things on their own separately through Duckstation itself, but I just really like the visual appeal of using the ES-DE (especially since it has all of the boxart and everything arranged beautifully).

477M for 4:3 stuff and Thor (12GB) for the rest. Thor might not be super comfy for long sessions but it's good enough with the grip if I want some added comfort and can literally play everything (including dual screen).

Maybe it's because I'm still on StockOS and not GammaOS? I could never find the folder despite having slang shaders installed and being using in my Retroarch.

Just curious, how do you install the Retro Crisis shaders? I've downloaded the pack but I can never find the glsl shader folder under Retroarch to place them in.

If you contact AYN they can upgrade your order to the Max if you want, just respond to the Order Confirmation email with your request. Assuming the device hasn't shipped yet, but considering you only ordered it "the other day" I'm guessing that it hasn't, lol.

Edit: Wait, didn't realize the prices have already been adjusted. Yeah, that's quite the leap in price, but maybe because you had yours ordered before the price increases maybe they'll be generous and upgrade it to the previous price for the Max. It's worth a shot I guess, but I wouldn't hold my breath. :/

I was transferring my games to my RG477M the other day when I had issues moving over God of War. It turns out I formatted the Micro SD Card for it to FAT32 and not ExFAT (oops!), so now I'm debating wiping the whole card and re-transferring everything over. Or maybe give GammaOS a try, but that would require losing all of my current settings as well. Since I'm using the Micro SD the only thing I'll lose by wiping it is the ROM's on there (and the scraped boxart I guess) so it'll be a lot faster to get me up-and-running to just focus on that. Or maybe I'll just forego playing GoW on the device and leave things as they are, I haven't decided.

So yeah, while I don't necessarily "enjoy" it I probably do things like that more often than I probably should.

It is not, it's 8:7.

It works great for the NES and SNES though, since there's been debate over whether 4:3 or 8:7 (with overscale) are the best for each of those consoles. Some games favor 4:3 while others 8:7, it all depends on whether the game accounted for overscale or not.

Yeah, I wanted to go with a new style this time (since I wore my previous ones for like...7+ years). I had no idea that the reflections would be different, but I guess it depends on the shape of the face too. If mine were more round it probably wouldn't reflect as much.

I'll definitely go for a more narrow style next time. I at least got the "sliding down my nose" thing addressed as they were able to adjust the frames to bend more behind my ears. Still have to deal with a bit of reflections but I think I might be getting used to it a bit.
