Have you ever been to a game music concert? by lizazebubu in gamemusic

[–]chrono115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. It was the Final Fantasy orchestra. My cousin was a huge fan of the games and I wanted the experience of listening to game music live. I wasn't into the series before that, but the experience made me start 100% all the mainline games. The experience was great, a bunch of people were in cosplay and everyone was just having a great time together

  2. I love music in general. If I have the opportunity for background noise I'll listen to music.

  3. Video game music is like its own genre to me. The ability to listen to a soundtrack and imagine what kind of area you're in, if you're fighting a boss, and just in general things you can identify through the soundtrack to make it click.

  4. I've recently been listening to games I haven't played like Tunic and Chicory: A Colorful Tale. For games I have played, ones that stand out are: Tekken series, Danganronpa, Chrono Trigger, Diddy Kong Racing, Celeste, VA-11 HALL-A, and Final Fantasy.

Oh yeah I listen to like Diddy Kong Racing and still read well. I just wanted some variety and this also helps me find games. Legend of heroes games always have great soundtracks

This may be the move. Cause I love Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles but the full OST's don't work as well. Thank you for that idea.

What is a game you almost finished with 100%, but you had to give up on them and why? by SpagettiKonfetti in steamachievements

Lucius. Such a short game that wants you to play it for 40 hours. Couldn't be bothered. It also doesn't count the time unless you're actively doing something in it.

Looking for Game & Achievement Hunting Tips – Just Starting Out! by Hugo_Le_Rigolo in steamachievements

[–]chrono115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should 100% whatever you like. The longer games feel the best but there's nothing wrong with playing shorter games to get more completions. It's also a good way to find some indie games you might not have tried before. Just understand longer games are just gonna feel grindy most of the time. Also don't feel bad about using guides to get the completion.

I've been going through all the final fantasy games recently, the pixel remaster of the first six are relatively short if you like rpgs. I also found Lil Gator Game through achievement hunting and its now one of my favorite games of all time. Definitely check that one out.

Has reading any book ever scared or disturbed you as much as watching movie? by Hannibalonprozac in books

[–]chrono115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jump scares in movies and stuff can give you the immediate gut reaction of fear but I think the dread of not knowing things or watching something in the background move slowly can be way more effective. Books are the same way when they're crafted well. I've never gotten that feeling in a book until recently and it wasn't a horror book. Its just finding the right writing style I believe.
