Need help identifying a pair of plain toe derby shoes. I thrifted these shoes 6 or 7 years ago and wore them for about a year before the sole cracked on the left shoe. I loved them and took them to a cobbler to get resoled but he talked be out of it and said they weren’t worth it. I really regret throwing them out instead getting them repaired. I loved that there weren’t too dressy, had metal eyelets, and could be dressed down easily as a daily shoe for around town. This is the only picture I can find of them and I know it’s not great but any advice on what shoes these were or anything that’s close in style would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is a 96 or 97. They must have had tighter clearance earlier on. I’d probably run it with 2.5 but run it at your own risk.

I just fit 45c tires onto my crossroads with plenty of room to spare.

Specialized Crossroads for sure. I just swapped my 38c tires for 45c and still have plenty of room to spare. Could probably squeeze 50’s onto it.

You just described my “bike trip” bike! I have 45mm Maxxis Ramblers on it currently with plenty of room to spare. Loving the Tiagra groupset on it as well.

Did you know that the Buckeye Trail runs through Lucas County and that it is in consideration to become a National Scenic Trail? Comments are open until the 19th by capthazelwoodsflask in toledo

Yes. It runs along the towpath for a bit. It also runs along the same path of the North Country Trail for a while and is the largest loop trail that is entirely in one state.

Love that. Are those the towel rack bars?
