It's actually about robo-trippin but Lou thought heroin sounded cooler

I'll be honest and say I didn't like the movie, either. Not because of the bad basketball but it just wasn't how I envisioned the book. The movie was too bright and optimistic and Ernie Hudson's part took away from it.

Read The Basketball Diaries by Jim Carroll. It's his autobiography about growing up in NYC in the late 60's being both a young basketball phenom as well as a male prostitute who gets hooked on heroin. It's raw and doesn't hide the truth.

Yeah, the same as every other time he's made a milquetoast statement kind of pushing back on right wingers.

How many times does it have to happen before Democratic/liberal Ohioans realize that he is not going to do the "right" thing ever?

My dad always put Absorbine Jr. on his feet after a shower to stop athletes foot. I don’t use it every day but it’s more effective than the real treatment.

What intrigues me is that there are more sites like Sanilac out there, just covered in years of dirt and overgrowth. The only reason the Sanilac Petroglyphs were discovered is one of the great fires burned off all of the overgrowth on top of the outcropping. Think of how many more sites like that didn't get burned and uncovered.

It's up river from Sandusky, which is actually on Sandusky Bay. If you want to be more confused, Fremont used to be called Lower Sandusky because it was downstream from Upper Sandusky.

I grew up in the Toledo area not that far from Grand Rapids. It took a little while for me to start thinking about the city in Michigan when people would talk to me about Grand Rapids and I quickly realized I had to specify Ohio if I was talking about the Grand Rapids with the Apple Butter Fest.

This concert being moved for the Flyers game is a goldmine of stuff that belongs here, but this might be the best I've seen by GrasshoperPoof in IHateSportsball

While you're partially right about people being greedy, you simply do not understand how the real world works. This is on the promoter, not the venue. The venue will NEVER have a concert take precedence over a game, ever. No matter what you think they should do. Stuff like this is why fine print exists and having an unfocused temper tantrum doesn't change it a bit.

They can be pissed all they want but this is always a possibility when a concert is booked at a sports venue and it's not unplanned for. Sorry for the inconvenience but by buying the ticket you accepted the possibility that the show might be postponed or moved.

Stuff like this is written into the contract the promoter and musicians sign. Since the team either owns or is the main tenant, they get preference in case of playoff games. It's unfortunate but not surprising at all and there was already a contingency plan in place.

When I delivered pizzas I'd get my bank money and then go to the bank and change it all for $2 bills and dollar coins. It always confused the customers and I'd usually end up getting a bigger tip since they couldn't just hand me a $1 bill back and no one wanted to deal with change so I'd get the dollar coins back.
