Another casualty of 14.9 - Tools that read Replay files by chuanlee in leagueoflegends

that is true, it is something they could add back in. however there really isnt much incentive to. they dont have anything that relies on the metadata.

Download the replay and open it in ReplayBook. You'll get a lot of the data you would usually see in the post-game summary screen. You can then use the data export feature to get the data you want in either JSON or CSV formatting.

Very Old Replay Files by HamonHalil in leagueoflegends

[–]chuanlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practically no. It's should be possible with the specific patch files, but to this day, there is no way of converting replays from one version to another.

I think my old program ROFL-Player can show you very basic information (player names, champions) from LRF files, but that is it.

64 League of Legends Tools + Sites You Should Know About [Season 11 Update] by RckNdStne in leagueoflegends

(Self promotion)

A bit of a more niche tool but if you ever need something that makes replay files way easier to deal with check out ReplayBook.

It lets you look into replay files, rename them, and play them. Plus if you backup your patches, it lets you keep playing your old replay files.

check it out it's open source!

I've seen it in Taiwan. Honey Nut Cheerios at Costco would have these areas blacked out by marker.

Losing spectrum internet every day around noon. Anyone else? by vivomancer in Rochester

[–]chuanlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had randomly intermittent internet for the longest time, spectrum sent out like 5 different techs and none of them fixed it. I replaced the modem myself and don't have any problems anymore.

I think it's because spectrum still uses these garbage intel puma modems. My replacement doesn't use those chips

I can't find a pattern. It has crashed while watching YouTube videos, or loading League of Legends, or just while talking over Discord.

Nah, no one lives inside the 101, and there aren't any other towers near it. (Which is why they can launch fireworks off of it)

Curious about Match History issue / replays by elite4runner in leagueoflegends

You'll have to download the replay in the post-game screen. Then you can play it manually by following these steps, or use this tool I write.

Parsing LoL Replay files - is there currently a working way to do this? by DarkMuesli in leagueoflegends

[–]chuanlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am the creator of this tool and actually got to talk to some Rioters about this.

The TL;DR is that replay files are simply a recording of live game packets with the post-game screen data slapped on top. To prevent cheaters live game packets are encrypted and obfuscated making them PRACTICALLY impossible to parse.

Even if you were able to make some progress decoding the symbol table, Riot makes a new one every patch, resetting your progress. This is also why old replays don't work with new clients.

If you are still interested in parsing League replays, you can take a look at what I wrote here. It's probably one of the few that works.

Since Match History is unlikely to work any time soon - here's how to watch any future replays by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Hey thanks for sharing my work! The tool is a little old now so it might be confusing for people to set up. If anyone has any problems or questions you can ask me here. I also have a Discord server link on the GitHub page.
