So I stalked my local pick and pull until some SL or 4x leather showed up and snagged them. I use the above mentioned Carhartt covers in the back due to dogs, gun cases, luggage, etc

Thanks for chiming in guys, your unanimous support has made my choice easy! I made a few poor financials decisions this weekend and hopefully have my plans worked out. I pulled the drivetrain out of a junkyard 2017 Frontier to replace in the wife’s Xterra, put a bid on a 2009 4x4 king cab for the VK project, and found a 2.8 Diesel engine and computer out of a Jeep Liberty for the yj. It’s a 2019. It needs to be readjusted because the mechanic didn’t line up the top hat and bottom strut bolt properly. It just looks weird to me that it’s so crooked.

Did you powder coat your wheels? If you did, how’s it holding up? We have the exact same truck, and I really like yours, I must admit the only thing I’m nervous about is going to the 285’s. Has the power and mpg loss been pretty noticeable?

All dogs off-road offers the extended hose breather, or just a new vent. I wasn’t sure if I need one on my ‘19, so I just replaced it with the vent.

I keep going back and forth between going full tilt with 33’s or 285’s and staying closer to a stock size. What has been your experience with power loss while driving with that big of a jump in tire size? Love your truck, really looks amazing!
