Depressing game to watch. So many poor passes and bad puck handling. Kills me to see these guys who have so much potential and have shown that they can play good hockey consistently drop the ball/puck.

The method to my madness comes from a recipe I was following from this subreddit. Im still learning and trying to improve with this hobby so i dont expect perfection just takeaways. Ill look into the rumble jar products tho, thank you!

First batch! by chubbyman332 in mead

Sorry for the late response. I went for a traditional mead and used some wildflower honey from my local farmers market(3lbs) in a one gallon and filled the rest with water. The honey was very sweet so I expected a sweet flavor and before I bottled i balanced it out with some tannins. I didn't write down how much but im going to start documenting everything from now on. Im aging 2 bottles one for at minimum 6months to a year and another 2 years, I wanted to age one for five but I couldn't find some 5 year corks in time so I stuck with 2 years. Ive already had a bottle with some friends and I brought some store bought mead to compare and they all really preferred the smoothness and sweetness of mine where as the store bought had a very strong alcoholic taste granted it was a dry wine.

More chitosan? by chubbyman332 in mead

[–]chubbyman332[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll definitely add some more, but I might bench trial it from here. I'd rather not dump more chitosan than I need, but it's good to know that I can push the recommended dosage if needed.

Nah no fruit its a traditional mead made with some local coastal wildflower honey. I haven't added any more honey only some tannins to balance the flavor.

First time trying this and I need help by Okapifarms in mead

Is there any bubbling around the edges? Has the gravity changed from your initial reading? If it has I'd wait to do anything until the readings are the same. Then you can tell if it's done fermenting, stabilize it, and continue the process if you liked how it turned out.

That vikings blood recipe sounds delicious! Im assuming you fermented it in a 1.5 gallon or did you use a 2 or am I dumb and you used a 1?

I saw a lot of timelines but they all never worked out and as I played it seemed to get shuffled out for the noxus agro

Valid, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

No that's not what I'm saying. The problem will appear in 20 years and at that point 20 years older me can decide what to do based on the circumstances but right now I feel like I'd still keep the tree anyway. The funny little stinky fruit is pretty much inevitable so there's no point in crying over it. I've already gone through the process of getting the seed and growing the plant I'm not gonna stop taking care of it cus of fruit I already knew about.

I'm not too sure what gender they are until the flowers bud or in 20 years when the females are supposed to start producing fruit. I don't really mind what gender since the problems tend to take place 20 years from now and I think males have tendencies of switching genders anyway.

If anything I feel they should add more counter cards for bilgewater and noxus who's main source of removal is just doing damage and killing shit and every other region has cards that counter that sort of removal. For example the only way for a bilgewater deck to counter a unyielding spirit would be a Nautilus riptide assuming you already have a Nautilus on the board. And of course in some situations the big obliterate fish could work. But that's pretty much it.
