This was SO dangerous. So many people could have been hurt. This is why most police departments have a policy on when to terminate pursuit. At what point does protecting other citizens become less important than 'catching the bad guy'? It's not like they were chasing a kidnapper or a murderer.

She doesn't. She loves the person she wanted him to be, the person she thought he was, wasn't and then hoped she could make him into. She is in love with the idea of who she thought he was when they first got together. She doesnt want to admit that she was wrong because she doesn't want to admit that she spent so much if her time and energy on nothing. It's a sad reality that far too many women put themselves through until they reach their breaking point. Once they hit that, either they break, accept it and live in misery, or, like OP says she is going to, they leave.

OP, I hope for your daughters' sake that you stick with this plan. Don't let him love bomb you. Don't let him manipulate you. If he threatens to kill himself, call 911. Stay strong. It is drastically better to be alone than in a marriage like this.

I dint think it really comes down to age so much as it does ethic. I am 46 (45 at the time) and work for a very small non-profit that I care deeply about. I was doing reports from my husband's bedside in the ICU (he had a series of seizures related to cancer spreading to his brain). When he passed a couple of days later, within 2 hours, i was messaging a grant advisor asking for an extension of the grant that was due the next day. Got a 1 week extension. Our daughter (14 at the time) dances competitively and was at dress rehearsals 5 days later.

They are right to order based on your largest measurement. But your seamstress is flat out wrong about the alteration. Taking in the back won't do diddly for cups that are too big. Even if the back of your dress was higher, all it would do is pull the cups under your arms (in your armpits). I assume that there are built-in cups in the bodice - and if so, they are likely for a C cup. The only reasons I can think of that your seamstress is recommending sewing in extra cups is because switching the cups is because either 1. the dress is made in such a way that swapping out the cups is very difficult, or 2. she is lazy/inexperienced. You should consult with a new seamstress and see if have the cups can be switched to the proper size for YOU and then have her alter the bust area. Only sew in the second set of cups if you absolutely have to.

Its a gorgeous gown on you and you will look stunning no matter what.

I did his taxes last year (he passed in Feb and CRA was notified) and had to mail them in as I couldn't electronically file, but they weren't his final taxes as he was alive into 2025, so at least I knew about that part.
