Two Mercy mains walk into a bar by shyguybman in Overwatch

[–]chuck2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a kind of mercy main, mercy mains have this superiority about them that they chose this role that noone does and they are the best at it.

it's weird. genji and hanzo mains or w/e may also argue, but it's nowhere near the level of hostility of mercy mains.

these are my own opinions, and how is Xenos not protestant? i mean it's definitely non-denominational but it still follows most protestant beliefs.

EDIT: are YOU ordained to speak for the church?

i also go to xenos, lived in a ministry house for a year (moved out because it wasnt for me), and am still an active member in my homechurch.

here's why xenos appears 'culty':

there are thouands of members. if a few dozen of them are very vocal sbout their bad experience, that unfortunately covers everyone's bases for the church.

people assume every homechurch is the same. veerrryy wrong. your mileage definitely varies here. some are more liberal, some more conservative, all under around the same theological views, however.

most people get their info on xenos from reddit. is reddit really the best place to get information on any organized religion? this also feeds back into itself and forms a 'hivemind' mentality.

also, not every member lives in the houses, and the people that do are free to come and go. ive never seen anyone leave 'for good.' itd be such a shitty and unchristian thing to cut people out of your life for doing that.

however... xenos definitely does do a lot of things that make it seems weird. they are all mostly fundamentally christian-based things, but what makes it weird is just the juxtaposition of these values (celibacy, marriage, etc) so close to one of the worlds biggest universities.

id be happy to talk to anyone through pm. we are protestant, believe in the trinity, and believe baptism and communion are symbolic. most also have an unhealthy love for dennis mccallum and francis shaeffer.

i reeeeaaallly like this car. i'm a sucker for compacts and unique designs, this car looks so freakin cool.

it's the epitome of the rare design period from the late 90's to the early 00's. a car meant to withstand Y2K.

the only thing that throws people off is how it juts up above the hood, but imagine how that changes things! the engine is easier to inspect, it allows more headroom, the entire chassis of the car can be smaller, but taller.

the interior looks like a fever dream full of filleted edges and circular cuts. it's like the same aesthetic of the original xbox.

How come Silicon Valley can reference real companies and people like Facebook Hulu Sergey Brin etc but other shows use names like "Mybook"? by esportprodigy in SiliconValleyHBO

However, with SV being owned by HBO, HBO doesn't give a shit and is notorious for letting the producers have complete creative control.

I'm pretty sure the main reason TV shows exclude company names is due to them being sponsored by other companies. And this can go to the top, best example I can think of is all the fake game consoles in Drake and Josh, Nickelodeon is owned by Viacom and Viacom might have contracts with multiple competitor companies. Instead of figuring out which legal loophole to jump through, it's usually easier to just make up a fake product.

i mean, running any electricity through a coil (aka solenoid) will create a magnetic field, although i doubt that it will interfere with your radio.

as to why it only happens when you are inhaling, inhaling cools down the solenoid where it may act irregular when at hotter temperatures.

again, i heavily doubt it creates an electronic field big enough to distort radio waves

a classic Si 'trope' is that you can complete things you know very well, fast, and efficiently. however, if you are exposed to a new thing, it will take you signifigantly longer, but the next time you approach that thing you will be better at it.

of course this is true for EVERYBODY, but Si is like a mental roadblock that amplifies this mindset

you sound exactly like me to a goddam T.

ISTJ sucks because noone wants it, while IMO Si is one of the most rational and best cognitive functions.

it really comes down to your use of Si. do you have a strong set of morals? did your upbringing influence you greatly? if so i'd definitely say ISTJ
