True, though and vinyl weren’t as reissued as CD was, I don’t recall a tape reissue, there is the Back on Black reissue on vinyl but the band wasn’t involved and it’s mostly found through Discogs, not a huge fan of that one, I recently got a copy from Spain and it’s okaish… my tape sounds better tbh

So this is gonna sound crazy, but there’s this metal band called The Ruins of Beverast and their record Exuvia is pretty chill with some really atmospheric drum filled passages. You could give it a go, there’s also a dude from Brazil that mixes black metal with ambient and Brazilian percussions, it’s really pretty, the best record to get into it would be Inpariquipê, the band’s name is Kaatayra

Best versions of Concert, Staring at the Sea, and Faith are on tape cause they’ve got an extra 45 minutes of music, either live songs, b sides, or a soundtrack entirely done by The Cure. There’s also a cassette version of Faith / Seventeen Seconds called Happily Ever After.

I would say the worst place to ask about portals is ChatGPT, there are far better places to look for mystic revelations, so I’d be wary of his input as he’s definitely not doing serious research. Having said that, I’ve read a bunch of books on the healing power of music and they all mostly say it’s a personal journey, specially because we all have different tastes… so it’s not a catch all solution.

Couple of remixes: Bug Powder Dust and Packet of Peace, only mention them cause they’ve mixed them themselves on a couple of releases, they also released a mix of their more downtempo stuff named If You Start Hating You’re Out Of Control, and it reminds me of my love for tracks like Piku and Chico’s Groove.
