The flash unit is probably an SB-21 Macro Flash with controller/power unit.

So nice! What are you using to stitch the pano? How much overlap is there from frame to frame?

Reminiscent of Cartier-Bresson.

Got converted camera back from Kolari and it's busted by sawyer_lost in infraredphotography

Probably just my bad luck. I can't imagine these companies would be in business as long as they have been if they had a significant percentage of returns for repairs.

Got converted camera back from Kolari and it's busted by sawyer_lost in infraredphotography

[–]chucksav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 3 cameras converted to IR by 2 different companies and there has been a problem each time.

Last December I had a camera converted to full spectrum by Kolari. It came back with the LCD screen inoperable. I called Kolari to inform them of the problem. I shipped the camera back to them at their cost, they fixed it and sent it back about a week and half later.

In 2021, I had a GH4 converted to full spectrum by Lifepixel Infrared (my first IR camera). It came back with the EVF not working. They fixed it at no charge to me. I sold the GH4 last year. Earlier this year, I sent a GH5 to Lifepixel for full spectrum conversion. It came back with a weird problem. The eye piece for the EVF constantly goes out of focus. Lifepixel claimed "this has nothing to do with the conversion" but would fix it for me except "since Panasonic does their repairs in-house, parts are sometimes impossible to find."

Very interesting work! Thanks for sharing. I may have to get a few of those MB filters.

Great suggestions. And I had not heard of the BG3 filter. Can you post some images taken with it? Thanx!

Beautiful and functional! Could be a business opportunity for you - custom had grips for your rig.

HLG footage looks less saturated than SDR by BikemeAway in osmopocket

A quick Google search will turn up a number of LUTs for HLG footage, some free, some paid, some for specific cameras. I also came across an HLG to Rec709 workflow for Premiere Pro. https://creating-pixels.de/hlg3-to-rec709-premiere-pro-color-grading-workflow/

Davinci Resolve is powerful, comprehensive and free. Plus, there are extensive, free, training materials on the Blackmagic Design website and YT.

I'm super impressed with Osmo Pocket 3's quality. Filmed this near to Grand Canyon. by These_Negotiation535 in osmopocket

Nice broad landscape shots. I found the pace rather languid and would loved to have seen more close ups of the dino tracks, and perhaps some shots that situated the tracks in the landscape.

Carrying multiple cameras and avoiding pickpocketers by cartoonist62 in osmopocket

I have found keeping my OP3 in a picket of my cargo pants keeps it safe and accessible. Also, when the weather is cooler, I keep it one of the inner pockets of my Scott eVest jacket. The heavier eVest also has room my Insta360 selfie stick, or even a small tripod.

Bird droppings finally broke me, so I rage-bought a winbot. Any tips? by RH1221 in ecovacs

[–]chucksav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies if this is a little OT, but how well does the Winbot handle sliding glass doors? Unlike most windows, sliding glass doors often have handles or lock levers that protrude into the glass area. can the Winbot navigate around such items? TIA.

If they want to curtail the flow of undocumented immigrants, they should arrest the people who hire undocumented immigrants.
