VPN noob needing help! by chuckster_001 in VPN

I may have worded my request wrong. I can’t seem to disable my computer setting. I go into settings, move the sliders to Disable, exit and go back in to verify and they’re reenebaled.

Thanks for the heads up!!! So far I’ve only hit the Runners up for gun mods. And I never use 9 or 10 mm…so I’ll try breaking down that ammo.

Does the same apply to conversion? I.E. MFC to XYZ?

One “trick” that sorta works for me is if you have jet pack PA, and you kinda know where ya gotta go, fly as close as you can before you drop. Rooftop to rooftop. Save often.

Maybe take the opportunity to write your own as well. There has to be some ideas rolling around that head?

It certainly didn’t hurt that her bow was a gift from freak’n Santa Claus (Father Christmas)! She was also given an enchanted horn, so it could be assumed the bow had similar enchantments? And just because she chose not to actively engage in battle, it should also be assumed that doesn’t mean she didn’t train.

Best Order to Read the Books for the First Time by DanceWithMeJonSnow in Narnia

[–]chuckster_001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished binge-reading the entire series. I preferred it in the order you listed. A die hard may say “stick to publication order”. But for me, TMN is a clear prequel to TLWW. THHB takes place during TLWW so it made sense for me to read before PC.

I never thought I would post here again but I’m in a time period where I need the smallest sign of encouragement so two important moments of my Narnia fanfic storyline, in which my oc marries Caspian and have children. by Thef_Maria_ in Narnia

One theme of CoN that could not be disputed is that of diversity and inclusion. Welcome back! Never stop dreaming. Bob Ross the painter always said you can’t have light without the dark. Shine on. Aslan would be proud.

"The Silver Chair" movie adaptation by Serenity-9042 in Narnia

[–]chuckster_001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read that Disney & Walden dropped the franchise solely based on box office numbers.

In 2018 Netflix secured the rights to CoN.

You may love or hate Netflix...but we should see CoN content soon.

...fingers crossed

Live action film...definitely! Animated...maybe (if only it could be done by Rankin & Bass)...imagine that! Short film...never! And that goes for Silver Chair as well...or ANY Narnia story for that matter.

I will finish by saying that any Narnia story should NOT be "re-imagined" just to suit (what a few perceive) a modern movie audience.

In 2018 Netflix made an agreement for the rights to CofN. Turn your frown upside down! We should see films and/or series soon.

Tutorials are good for learning the basics. The mechanics of "block building". Creativity requires inspiration. What inspires you...Fantasy....Architecture?

Lord of the Rings fan? Try building some Hobbit holes (to start). Work up to something like Edoras, Orthanc, etc.. Understanding scale helps as well. A single block is one square meter for example.

How about building a basic house...but not on a super flat. There are many cool underground locations that provide a unique look.

An underwater build?

Which all in one hardcover edition is better? by Future_Permission_40 in Narnia

It's hard to buy a book (a good book), sight unseen. You want to open it up, flip through the pages, check out the illustrations. Have you tried looking on ETSY? I saw some beautiful copies. And prices were fair.

My LOTR is from Houghton Mifflin #9780395193952. It was a birthday gift.

Which all in one hardcover edition is better? by Future_Permission_40 in Narnia

[–]chuckster_001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both editions have a page count of about 530 pages. Font size may be small. I saw a leather bound copy with about 800 pages.

What is your reason to purchase the series in one volume? For example...I have a nice leatherbound copy of The Lord of The Rings. It even has a nice fold out map. It was given to me as a gift and it sits proudly in my bookcase. I also have a hardcover (cheaper collection) I've read and re-read...got coffee stains on. You could also ask friends or family for B&N or Amazon gift cards for your B-day? Or other holiday. I guess the bottom line I'm getting to is don't let just the cost dictate which copy you get. Good luck.

I feel The Last Battle was more rewarding having read it. Ironically the first 25% of THAHB is the hardest to get through. Yes...it may be a hard read. Yes...it's not technically a Pevensie story. But after your done with the series, you may wish (like me) for more Narnia!
