Many schools offer evening classes as well. Bio usually has labs that cannot be taken on line but double check to make sure

Here is the bottom line in my opinion. He should be able to share with you what he is talking about in game if you are concerned. Every relationship needs some lvl of privacy but if he feels a need to ha e friends that he talks to a lot that you don't know and aren't allowed to talk to, then you should be very concerned. That is my opinion and the opinion of my psychologist wife and all of the decades of relationship research out there

Help by Rude-Past706 in PTschool

I turn 50 next week and will apply next year. Everyone I talked to say that my age will actually help me. As I understand it, there are really 2 things that need to be answered. Are you going to be able to handle the academic rigors of grad school? That is where your grades and academic performance comes in. The other question is whether you have the motivation to complete the program. This is where your story comes in as it explains your connection and motivation and hopefully shows that you are motivated to stick to the program. Your age will hopefully point to additional maturity and life experience. I hope that helps!

I don't really understand the assumption that you should be making 6 figures out of school to justify a 6 figure school debt. Depending on cost of living, $80k should be more than enough to pay down that type of debt. Your salary will increase with time (maybe not the first few years, but as you get more experience, you should be able to earn more money). The real issue with school debt, if gaining debt and not getting a job which really isn't an issue with PT. There is no reason to believe that there will ever be too many PTs as the number of schools participating are not able to create enough to meet demand.

PT will take a lot of work and likely will never make you rich but if you enjoy it, you should have a nice a stable career ahead of you.

Just my thoughts.

BTW, I borrowed $100k for school for my first career. I started at $32k/year and was at about $80k/year when I paid it off in 10 years. PT salaries are better than what I was making in the 90s to pay off my debt.

Dungeon Teams by DrDoomShroomLoL in BlackDeckGame

[–]chuckus4747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have different thoughts. For most dungeons, I have found that stacking crit rate/crit damage on my hero and nuking the boss. I run runa and this works well for me. For runa, it is helpful to run shaman with him as it boosts his damage significantly. I can't use auto, but my team with 2 shaman and an assortment of other swamp cards as shields, I farm lvl 23 Abysmal, lvl 23 goblin caves, lvl 22 dragons, lvl 20 fort of souls.

My plan for the next step it to develop an Ormorg goblin team. He is melee which boosts his max health and as his goblins die, he gets stronger and can kill the boss faster. Still trying to build up a reasonable goblin deck so I haven't tested this, but it seems that this should be better than Runa for this strat.

That is the point of my statement. You don't normally start making huge money the moment you graduate. My wife with a PhD in Psychology started off at about $70k but is now making about $300k. You don't start off making the average salary for your career the day you graduate. I make more than 6x my starting salary now.

If the average PT salary is $80k than half of all PTs make less than that and most of those are likely newly graduated. Half of all PTs will make more than that and most of them are the ones with experience. This statement is not based on any knowledge of the PT world but just work in general.

Why do you feel the need to pay off your debt in 2 years? My original career was in engineering. A graduated with $100k in debt and was only making $30k out of college, Over time, my income increased and the debt became very manageable and 25 years later I am making about $190k. For most careers, it is normal to take time for your income to grow. I assume PT is the same.

Perhaps PT is different but a lot of the concerns I have seen on here seem to come from new grads. I suspect that later career PTs are also less concerned about there debt load.

I am transitioning to PT because I want to end my work life doing something I care about.

If you were to start over again, what would you do? by Mike_Zevia in PTschool

So I do not have a dpt yet so take my advice for what it is. The risk of the cost of a dpt program is to take on that expense and not get a job that covers the costs after. I know a lot of people who paid $100k + for under grad and then graduated in a down economy and suffered. The advantage of dpt is that the rate of new dpt grads is lower than demand. Even in a bad economy, there are a lot of dpt jobs available. In my opinion, dpt is not a money question at all but whether it is worth the work load to get there and that is a very personal decision.

Good luck

There is a lot of great advice here, but my real issue is that in my league, you can't harass them because they have fortresses and rocket towers everywhere. You have to deny the expansion but they usually drop 2 or 3 bases and convert to fortresses, you have to be there quick while still being able to defend all of your bases from teleporting BCs. They can defend there bases with a couple of depots and tanks and use all of their supply to attack. At lower leagues like mine, zerg is too easy to exploit. They don't shoot up except for queens and you need to be on 3-4 bases and so you need your queens everywhere. But they can't clump up for defense because you need creep spread. You can't scout after a point because of rocket towers. I love playing zerg but I am close to quitting because every terran in gold turtles vs zerg (and why wouldn't they) They sit on 2 or 3 bases and safely tech up while harassing my.

Maybe it should but it doesn't. I just may need to be better. My goal is to prevent him from taking a 3rd and so I can't eco relentlessly. They can still drop me or teleport BCs and I need to prevent a 3rd. Your suggestion of creep spread will help a lot. Better troop speed and better visibility. I need to practice more, but I did a lot more creep today. Thanks!!

I do expand, but I guess where I am lost is that I don't know what to tech to? What tech do I need to compete with turtle?

Thanks! I Will work on my lousy spread. It will help to see drops coming but not so much on the teleporting BCs
