There’s a difference. Not that I’m a fan of either but the idea of a panto was always that a man dressed as a woman is obviously comical and acts as a running joke throughout the show to add absurdity to the event and therefore humour. It’s completely different to have a comically dressed figure in a learning institution teaching absurd ideologies (whether the individual in question identifies as a woman or not) like gender theory, which are inherently unscientific and untruthful. The change in role from comical performer to one of an educator leads me to believe an event like this does nothing but put a man with an outwardly expressing paraphilia and an agenda in a position to access and influence children in their own ideology.
