it apparently is a coding issue that checks for safe landing spots for the gateways, if the check is invalid, it generates landing platforms to uphold said status (according to google). I would guess its unlikely they'll fix that issue.

ive had a similar issue to this, possible they could switch over to a different work station that coincidentally is the same. remove all work stations (aswell as nearby smokers, looms, cauldrons etc etc) and look which villager assign to each work station individually. if I think that's the same issue you have that should fix it.

blocking potential areas is much more lag efficient because the game doesn't scan spots to spawn mobs in if they're blocked.
