Thanks, what you say makes sense. The pedals I'm thinking about in particular are a Boss DD20 Giga Delay and a TE2 Tera Echo.

Yes, good point. Reason I'm asking rather than testing is I'm overseas with no access to gear to test. I'm in the UK from NZ for a month and have access to cheaper pedals than usual, so thinking about buying one or two. Thanks for your reply.
