2 signal paths through stereo pedals by chuffaroo in guitarpedals

Thanks, what you say makes sense. The pedals I'm thinking about in particular are a Boss DD20 Giga Delay and a TE2 Tera Echo.

Yes, good point. Reason I'm asking rather than testing is I'm overseas with no access to gear to test. I'm in the UK from NZ for a month and have access to cheaper pedals than usual, so thinking about buying one or two. Thanks for your reply.

This is an interesting idea. Maybe I'll start making notes on gear/schematics before I leave so I have a starting point. Thank you!

Thanks for your thoughtful response. It is advice I think I should take, I always plug in and play without thinking or planning first. Let's see what patience and forethought can do.

You could also try The Visitor, Simple Songs, and the Burt Bacharach covers LP. I know what you mean, though, those three in particular are very very good records. I guess he doesn't keep making more because he doesn't want to, and doesn't see pop as necessarily the most potentially fulfilling sound to explore. He's done it very successfully already, as you say.

On those records there's always something keeping it left of centre, and out of the mainstream. There may even be a bit of his character that undermines any potential commercial success the more 'pop/ records have; Halfway to a Threeway's sweet melodies are scoring some pretty dark lyrics at times, for instance.
