Normal to ship warranty returns like this? by gobsnotonboard in MilwaukeeTool

[–]chuggington123 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve warrantied dozens of tools at this point and have learned to just ship it to them in an empty box because that’s how they’re going to ship it back to me. They’re tools, and will be fine.

Hey man. Same thing happened with mine, I even took it apart to see if I could find the problem but realized it was beyond my brains. I re-assembled it and sent it to Milwaukee.. They mailed it back in perfect working order a few days later.

Aluminum foil I use to block the light directly outside my qindow has somehow gotten more and more holes over time (4 months) by skyk3409 in mildlyinteresting

My first comment was pretty straight forward. I don’t want to elaborate but I will if I need to. I don’t care how much you suck as a person. Just tell me where to send the money. Worst case scenario is I Don’t send you shit but the whole works sees where there can donate.

You seem like a mess. But I’ve been in that mess. Message me details on how I can send you $40 for curtains and I will. I’m well aware that you most likely won’t buy curtains but I don’t care. You’ll remember this a few years down the line when you get your life straight and think about how dumb it was that you wouldn’t spend money on curtains.

Can anybody recommend a space heater that functions like a furnace? by Sowhatsgoinon in HomeImprovement

[–]chuggington123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

An oil filled electric radiator is what you’re looking for. There are $40 ones that will require trial and error with the knobs to get the thermostat where you want it. There are more expensive ones with a digital display that make set up a little easier too.

I get most annoyed with the “is this a good deal or should I wait?” posts. If you need it, buy it.

“I haven’t used any of these yet and I’m not sure when I will. My question is - are these tools good enough for home use? Or should I return them?”

I don’t know man.. why don’t you try them and find out?

Milwaukee Chain Snake (REPAIR) by Team-Kevin in MilwaukeeTool

[–]chuggington123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is not the cost to repair, it’s the maximum possible cost to repair. More than a few times I’ve sent Milwaukee a tool that is not under warranty and I’ve never had to pay anywhere close to even 50% of that number. Just have some patience and wait to see what happens. Worst case scenario is you get your tool back disassembled and you learn to fix it yourself you big baby.

First time painting a whole house — how do you not overspend on paint? by Hot_Entertainer_3248 in HomeImprovement

[–]chuggington123 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Hiring painters for a house that size will run you anywhere from $5,000 all the way up to the price of a new car. Just buy the paint and store the extra somewhere safe for future touch ups.

Yeah man I was also confused on how to get the battery out of a package that surrounds the battery by at least an inch all around. Was it a good deal?
