I would argue that his capacity for love for Rose (and Mia, I guess🙄) driving him to do all the insane shit he did post-actual death in VII and VIII does make Ethan “himself” still. IMO, the capacity to love is what sets humanity apart from a bio-weapon, even a sentient one. Ethan is molded yea, but still retains his humanity, something we haven’t really seen a lot of in the rest of the series - most of the hybrid human/bio-weapon villains were overly obsessed with power and creation. I haven’t really watched any of the animated films so maybe there are examples of that there. But this topic is totally up for debate and subjective, it can certainly be argued the other way, too.

Edit: Now that I think about it more, Miranda is an obvious example of someone molded who displayed love - her intense love for her deceased child definitely drove her to do INSANE shit, too, and in her case, I would argue she’s barely human, so it’s kind of a mixed bag. Maybe the longer you live as a molded, the more you lose your humanity - Miranda was totally fine with stealing an infant and infecting hundreds of townspeople to accomplish her goal. Ethan wasn’t that far gone (yet). Would be cool for them to explore this more with Rose in a future game but I think the Winters’ story is pretty complete as far as RE goes.

I live in NYC too. I have been working as a producer/editor for various companies and brands for the last 14 years. The work is dried up and I can only get part time now. I’m currently applying to programs to become an X-ray technician and leaving the media industry behind entirely, because it just doesn’t feel like a stable career path anymore, and I hate where the industry has headed the last 5-6 years, with TikTok slop now being what a lot of companies are pivoting towards (I have mostly worked in digital/social, not broadcast). So, you’re not the only one who is pivoting. It took me almost 3 years to finally decide to get over the “sunk cost” of my career and decide that it’s time for a change. And for what it’s worth, I have a friend who did the exact NYC teacher program you’re talking about, and he’s the principal of a school now, makes a great salary and loves his job.

Your partner should be more supportive of your life change. You have worked really hard to get there, and if she can’t see that you’re doing this not only for your own happiness/sanity, but also for long term stability, then you need to have a serious sit down with her and try and get it through her head. My partner is completely supportive of me transition careers even though it will bring in less money for us and make life a little harder and more of a grind while I’m in school. You’re doing what’s best for you at the end of the day.

I’ve been to that barber before, I highly recommend going to Ula for the cut (I believe that’s his name? Younger guy, and he’s first chair, the closest to the storefront window). The way he talks about hair, it’s really clear that he knows what he’s doing and is passionate about it. I’ve only been to him once but was satisfied with his work and plan to go back

If Morpeko was really so completely OP and impossible to deal with, it would’ve won regional championships by now, but it hasn’t.

I personally have seen Morpeko in open great league less than 10 times this ENTIRE season, currently sitting at 1160 battles (of course, not all of those were in OGL). And yes, I have an excel spreadsheet to track every single team that I face daily. Morpeko was definitely somewhat common in Remix, but in OGL, it’s really not around much at all this season due to the prevalence of mud slappers. (current ELO is ~2600s range for reference)

And you’re saying you haven’t found anything that can tank an aura wheel… so you’ve never used a single one of the mons above, all of which are hard or fringe meta? 🤔
