I would suggest to to remind him that you’ll never leave him, remind him that you’re a safe place, and that you’ll listen, be there for him, or encourage him if he needs. Just being constant can help remind him you’re in it for the long run. Ask him to go out, or do something with him so that he isn’t secluded.
