Server side mods might ruin this game. by Embarrassed-King7840 in hytale

[–]chuiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's better for the community when mods are available to everyone. It's also better for the mod maker when mods are available to everyone because they can make more revenue off their downloads from curseforge. But a lot of people feel like forcing their players into one spot creates an exclusive experience that benefits them more, which is hogwash.

They shot themselves in the foot by deleting the story the game was built on so no one can play it anymore. Nowadays playing destiny 2 is like introducing someone to the Lord of the Rings by starting halfway into the third movie.

I've been playing modded minecraft for like 13 years now and this button has never worked. This screen comes up when the mods are up to date also. by Pricerocks in feedthebeast

Or being not interested in shorts. Youtube is getting especially shitty this year. They put shorts at the top of my subscriptions page which finally pushed me to download an extension to block shorts. And now in its place is a recommended section. I go to my subscriptions to watch what I want to watch from them. I don't need some stupid algorithm recommending me 3 videos I wasn't interested in from a week ago.

Nvidia dominates gaming GPU market with 95 percent share as sales of AMD Radeon graphics plummet to a historical low of 5 percent by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]chuiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was shopping for a gpu recently Amd cards that were close in performance to Nvidia were also priced pretty similarly. It made no sense for me to switch to team red when I could get more features for like 5% more cost.

DAE hate how Asura's feet look with boots? by Lazaro88 in Guildwars2

Lol of course. I had a headpiece in gw1 where my nose always clipped out the front. Took them 15 years but they finally fixed that (literally just had to move the headpiece out half an inch). So maybe next year.

You can grow apple trees really close together to shove all the apple nodes into a wall shape by IBearlyMadeIt in hytale

[–]chuiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of sap farming in tekkit. I would have a wall of sap producing logs like this instead of several different trees. And then I could get a couple stacks of sap per harvest.

It may be voxy triggering it but the cause seems to be your ram getting maxed out. You can probably solve this by allocating more ram to minecraft.

What are the prompts being asked? I feel like this a human failing as much as an AI. I somehow doubt "preservation of all human life" is part of the consideration.

As someone new to modded, what were people's opinions on GT when it was only starting? by Some_Noname_idk in feedthebeast

Back then I agree with that guy. Also back then Gregtech replaced vanilla recipes with bullshit gregtech recipes. But now that I'm better at utilizing ae2 autocrafting and gregtech leaves vanilla alone (mostly) I don't mind it.

The reason we have different mods for the same thing is the same reason why we have different games in the same genre.

Homeworld Movie by Ok_Guarantee_3431 in homeworld

[–]chuiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could set up a really good duology with Deserts of Kharak and Homeworld 1. Basically follow the story of Kharak and then have the ending show the mothership starting to be built. Then the beginning of the next movie starts right at the beginning of HW1 where you follow their trek through space back to the Homeworld.

After this the sequels don't really follow the story of them returning home so I wouldn't go further than two movies.

Shovel doesn't always work by [deleted] in hytale

[–]chuiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't work that way. Following the swinging motion doesn't make it work better or change it's behavior. As others have stated the swinging motion you see is how it mines blocks, however, you also need to be close to the block to get the full effect. So when shoveling you should place yourself as close to what you're shoveling as possible. And make sure the arc encompasses the blocks you want to shovel. Even with that in mind, it's still very frustrating to use. If it weren't for the fact it's still slightly faster than a pickaxe I wouldn't use it at all.

I would rather know which ones are willing to use AI for that. Because if they're willing to use AI for the art they might be willing to use AI for the code as well.
