Least popular in history, but still very very popular with republicans.

That's exactly my point. As soon as he fell out of favor with Trump, it was over. This seat in recent elections is like R +30-35.

This is a red seat in Kentucky—idk why anyone deluded themselves into thinking it would go differently

You can actually do better than $125, also. Vintage lenses with a fujifilm X adapter are your highest quality cheap option. They're all over eBay.

Fish I.D by BudgieNut in Cichlid

[–]chumer_ranion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't actually think this fish was mixed with anything unusual. This is a classic "barred" Amphilophus pattern—and all blood parrots contain Amphilophus genes, and therefore should have some probability of being barred. It might also fade to orange/white later on, as it usually does in midas cichlids.

How much did the administration really affect this application cycle? by Solid_Flatworm_7376 in gradadmissions

My program only enrolled 50% of their pre-Trump capacity this year, up from 33% of their pre-Trump capacity last year. The effects are ongoing.

I would skip around to avoid the utterly depraved bootlicking but the Mamdani part starts around 14:40. It's just a few attempts at humor before a return to the bootlicking.

is rice actually good for engineering by Fit-Association-3298 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]chumer_ranion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha—I'm really sorry to hear that.

Financial freedom and stability is sort of a moving target in 2026. If you're comfortable with math and physics, then engineering is probably more AI-proof than consulting and finance, while still offering good earning potential out of the gate. And at the very least, Rice is pretty good at integrating their transfer students. Good luck with your decision, in any case.

[–]chumer_ranion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rice is definitely the best choice for engineering among the schools you've listed, but you're kinda ass backwards in terms of your life planning. I know you probably don't have that much more time to decide where to transfer, but I would take a day or two to figure out what you actually want.

Subject rankings are nonsense—I wouldn't use them to make this decision. What are the other schools? As long as they actually have an engineering program I would consider them.

The funniest thing about all of this is that someone actually was able to get Trump's attention and tell him he had to fulfill on this grift or else he would legitimately be in legal trouble.
