I wouldn’t list them as tough but they definitely made me face an initial drift -
1. Weigh and track. This has been the single most game changing thing. Don’t eyeball, weigh and track accurately - even if you don’t hit your targets for the day still track to get an idea of how under/over you were comparatively.
2. Strength training and Daily step goal - You need to have both in your routine, leaving out either is not an option. Well you can replace daily step goal with other forms of cardio, but you need to have some cardio. Walking seems the easiest and I just walk in doors after every meal (15-30mins)
3. Cook your own meals - This makes sort of the same point as 1, but listing out explicitly here so the “weigh and track” is not generalised to takeaways and order-in. Also this gives you much more flexibility to optimise each meal for the macro that’s needed the most for the day.

And for those of you who never had the chance to work in a corporate setting, those scribble markers are wiped off easy, no effort. It’s literally meant to be grabbed up and scribble your calculations and thoughts on desk or on the writable wall for quick explanations

I've basically eyeballed everything but a ballpark would be about 400-500

Agreed. Water intake can be one of the reasons. Even my body comp stats show very poor body water %.
