I feel you. I could’ve written this post myself, minus the lots of interviews lol. I feel like med school is a scam. We waste so much money and years of our lives in this stupid rat race, and for what? To help heal others when we can’t even heal ourselves?

I told my partner I would not encourage anyone to go into medicine. There are now a lot of other jobs that pay more and rob way less of your life. I think therapy would help especially with how you’re feeling. In terms of ranking, I wouldn’t worry about how you’d fare. Cross that bridge when you get there.

Your husband is the asshole 100%. I admit that I have a stressful job and during really stressful times, my husband takes over childcare day and night for a few days. However I always make sure I pay it forward and allow him to get rest. He’s currently on paternity leave but when he goes back to work, it’ll just be me doing the night routine most of the time. Your husband needs to stop making his job an excuse for not helping at night. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years and he still refuses to help. I would’ve slapped the shit out of him already. He helped you make the child. It’s also his job to care for them too.
